Symbiote Nests are infested sites in Spider-Man 2, scattered throughout New York City. These sinister locations are overrun by alien parasites known as Symbiotes. Towering tendrils that reach into the sky mark these sites, making them easier to spot, but also significantly more perilous.

To rid the city of these abominations, you’ll wield a special device called the Sonic Boom. This remarkable piece of technology unleashes an explosion that exclusively targets the Symbiotes, sparing you from any harm during the detonation.
Clearing all the Symbiote Nests is a heroic feat, and your endeavors will be richly rewarded. Miles Morales can unlock the awe-inspiring King In Black Suit, and you can earn the prestigious Exterminator Achievement.
While some of these Symbiote Nests are relatively straightforward to cleanse, others present greater challenges. Some have concealed cores, while others teleport between various locations. Certain nests even harbor multiple hearts, demanding agility and clever tactics to overcome.
The process begins by deploying a Sonic Burst on the core of the Symbiote Nest. Your mission is to protect it from the relentless Symbiote attacks until the timer expires. Once you successfully defend it, the Sonic Burst erupts, obliterating the heart, the tower, and all the Symbiotes.
As you defend the Sonic Burst, keep an eye on its health bar at the top of your screen to gauge your progress.
These Symbiote Nests unlock in two phases. The first four become accessible after completing Main Quest 26: “Set Things Right,” and the remaining nests appear following the completion of the “It’s All Connected” mission.
In total, there are ten Symbiote Nests scattered across eight districts, although you’ll need to uncover the city by de-fogging it before they’ll be visible.
The next Symbiote Nest in Spider-Man 2 is hidden in the park, located to the east of Astoria.
Much like Harlem, the Upper East Side harbors two Symbiote Nests, primarily infecting the northern region of the district.
Towards the western edge of the Upper West Side, you’ll stumble upon another Symbiote Nest.
This Symbiote Nest is positioned near the bridge to Williamsburg in the southwest of Chinatown.
In the southern region of Little Odessa, yet another nest lurks inside an empty parking lot between buildings.
You’ll encounter the nest surrounding a basketball court towards the south of Williamsburg.
The final Symbiote Nest location in Spider-Man 2 can be found in the northwest corner of the Financial District.
Clearing each Symbiote Nest location is a rewarding endeavor. You’ll earn 200XP and 4 Hero Tokens for each nest you cleanse. These generous rewards add extra value to your heroic efforts in this thrilling side mission.
