In Windrose, there’s an entire universe within your reach, and as a pirate, it’s ready for you to explore and conquer. To make your adventures profitable, you’ll need more than just a sturdy ship and skilled sailors; you also need crew members to work at your base.

We’ll help you find each available worker and understand what they can do for your journey. This way, you can develop your camp efficiently and ensure you’re well-supplied for every task. Check out where each crew member is located and how much it costs to bring them onto your team.

### All Workers and Where to Find Them

Workers are special non-player characters (NPCs) you can hire to join your crew. Although they won’t go on your ship with you, they can settle at your base and be assigned to different workstations, offering various benefits.

Since Windrose is still in early access, only four crew members are available for hiring. You probably won’t come across them until you’ve made more progress in the story.

Once hired, you can assign them to their respective stations through the worker tab at those stations.

### Where to Find Rosalinda Mercer

Rosalinda Mercer is likely the first worker you’ll meet. She is located just beside the entrance of Tortuga’s port town, or what’s left of it. She’s a passionate woman with big dreams of brewing all sorts of potions. Assigning her to the Alchemy Table will give you some advantages.

While Rosalinda might not be the best at brewing potions, her ability to produce an additional elixir is handy for making high-quality, expensive elixirs.

### Where to Find Jasper Crowe

Jasper Crowe is also found in Tortuga, near the Buccaneers Provisioner. He’s an excellent crew member to recruit early because his special bonus helps you save resources as you build your fleet.

### Where to Find Black Axel

Black Axel operates as a cook for your camp and is likely located on an island near Tortuga, not directly on Tortuga itself. To hire him, you’ll need to locate the main base of the People of Tortuga. He is essential because good cooks are always necessary.

### Where to Find Mortar Joe

Mortar Joe works as a Powderman and is based at the Brethren of the Coast. He becomes crucial once you start using firearms more frequently, as he helps with gunpowder production.

Each of these crew members can be assigned to their respective stations once hired, helping you strengthen your base and advance your pirate endeavors.
