There are many differences between the real world and the one in Replaced. One of the nice details in both worlds is that there are cats. Although the game doesn’t have a lot of cats, there are a few you can find.
If you find and interact with each cat, you’ll earn the Sad Cats Achievement. This award is easy to miss because each cat only appears at a certain time during your adventure. Here’s where to find all of them.
Cat Location One (Chapter 2)
The first cat appears during the second chapter, which is when you first visit the Railway Station and the nearby area.
At the beginning of this chapter, follow the main storyline until you talk with the Council (Ironwood and Matriarch). After that conversation, go to the right to find the food counter.
On the left side of the counter, you’ll see a black cat sitting on the bar. Talk to it to complete this part.
Cat Location Two (Chapter 4)
The second cat shows up in chapter four, when you return to the Railway Station area. During this part, you need to go to Yo-Yo’s Workshop for the main story and to find the second cat.
To reach the workshop, enter the gap in the fence to the right of the Railway Station. Once inside, go through the green door to your left to get into Yo-Yo’s Workshop.
Inside, you’ll find a white cat sitting on a chair near Yo-Yo. Talk to this cat to proceed.
Cat Location Three (Chapter 7)
The last cat is found in chapter seven, close to Yo-Yo’s workshop. To get there, head through the gap in the fence next to the Railway Station again, and then go toward the green door.
Once you’re near the workshop, look for a fence with a gap. Walk through this gap.
Stay on the right side and you’ll see a trash can next to a white van. The orange cat is sitting on the trash can. Talk to it to unlock the Sad Cats Achievement. There’s no need to go inside the door; just walk past it to find this final feline.
