The Rusted Anchor is an extraordinary weapon in Elden Ring classified under the Greataxe category. This unique armament can only be acquired once per playthrough by defeating a particular boss located in a hidden optional dungeon.
As a strength-based weapon, the Rusted Anchor inflicts significant damage upon foes but requires substantial strength to wield effectively. In this guide, we will walk you through the steps to obtain this mighty weapon and how to utilize it against your enemies.
Where to Find the Rusted Anchor
You can acquire the Rusted Anchor by defeating the optional boss, Scaly Misbegotten, found within the Morne Tunnel. This tunnel is situated in the heart of the Weeping Peninsula, close to the Erdtree Avatar.
The Weeping Peninsula lies east of Limgrave and can be reached via the Bridge of Sacrifice. From the Bridge of Sacrifice’s site of grace, head southwest through the forest to locate the entrance to Morne Tunnel.
Once inside the tunnel, proceed until you reach the boss room. Scaly Misbegotten shares similarities with other Misbegotten enemies, boasting a quick moveset and high agility. However, it’s completely manageable to defeat, even at lower levels.
Upon defeating Scaly Misbegotten, you will receive the Rusted Anchor greataxe as a reward.
