The world of indie gaming has raised the bar by introducing multiple endings, giving players more freedom in their choices. The new horror game, MiSide, which has quickly gained popularity, follows this trend with various endings for players to explore.
Each ending offers a distinctly different outcome, often requiring players to replay certain levels to alter their previous decisions. Here’s a guide on how to unlock all endings and what each one entails.
Warning: Major Spoilers for MiSide!
First Ending: Bad (Original)
The game’s first ending, known as the ‘Bad’ ending, is achieved by declining Mita’s invitation to stay during the chapter ‘Things Get Weird.’ After making this choice, simply complete the game to unlock the ‘Bad’ ending, which also grants you the ‘Is This The End?’ achievement.
The Outcome (Spoilers)
If you refuse Mita’s offer to remain in her virtual world, she becomes hostile and relentlessly pursues you throughout the game. Although Kind Mita tries to assist you, she ultimately faced with Crazy Mita, meets her demise. Before finishing the Reboot process in the final chapter, Crazy Mita will sabotage everything and trap you within one of the game cartridges.
Second Ending: Safe
To unlock this ending, you must first complete the game to obtain the code needed for the basement safe. Again, you have to turn down Mita’s offer in the chapter ‘Things Get Weird.’ When you reach the ‘Reboot’ chapter, unlock the safe with the code ‘4970’ found in the basement instead of going upstairs with Kind Mita.
Completing this ending grants you the ‘Safe of Life’ achievement.
The Outcome (Spoilers)
The ‘Safe’ ending closely mirrors the ‘Bad’ ending until the final moments, where you will find an additional player cartridge in the safe. When the protagonist retrieves it, you’ll be taken back to the main menu.
Third Ending: Stay
The third and final ending, often referred to as the ‘Stay’ ending, is unlocked by completing certain tasks as you follow Mita’s instructions before ultimately choosing to ‘Stay’ during the ‘Things Get Weird’ chapter.
You can always replay different chapters to save time.
