Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 has made a huge splash in the gaming world after winning the 2025 Game of the Year award and breaking records at The Game Awards with the most wins ever for a single game. As a special thank you, players received a free update at the end of the event. This update adds a lot of new content for free, including new weapons, luminas, bosses, and a completely new area called Verso’s Drafts to explore.

Getting into this new region isn’t straightforward. You’ll need to progress quite far in the game to access it. If you’ve already finished the game and have an endgame save, you’ll probably find Verso’s Drafts fairly quickly. New players or those still early in their journey might need to do some extra work first.

How to Access Verso’s Drafts in the New Clair Obscur DLC

Verso’s Drafts are found in Act 3. The latest DLC, called the “Thank You” update, introduces this new explorable area. It shouldn’t be confused with Renoir’s Drafts, the final area that leads to The Abyss and the famous Simon fight. Similar to Renoir’s Drafts, you can only access Verso’s Drafts in Act 3 after unlocking Esquie’s ability to dive underwater.

The area is located next to Lumiere in the southern part of The Continent, east of Lumiere itself. You need to reach the final act of the game before you can dive into and explore this new location. So, players still in earlier chapters will have to wait a bit longer.

What to Expect in Verso’s Drafts

Once you get there in Act 3, there’s a lot to discover. You’ll face new enemies, find new weapons, luminas, and more. This free update is packed with content, and players can expect to uncover additional secrets and potentially solve new mysteries.

The update also introduces new storylines and quests that further develop the expedition’s adventure. It takes characters to locations never seen before and might expand their backstories and the overall lore. Plus, there’s a new photo mode that lets players document their journey, capturing the game’s moments in pictures—a feature fans have been waiting for.

Verso’s Drafts is the biggest addition to Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 so far. While there’s no clear plan for further content, this update will keep players busy for a long time to come.
