There’s so much to discover in Amazing Frog? You can collect costumes that transform your frog into characters you love, trophies, moon crystals, and even adorable cats. Interestingly, many collectibles are found in hard-to-reach spots high above. The best way to access these locations? Using a jetpack!
The faster jetpack you acquire in the game, the more exciting your adventures become, making it easy to grab what you’re after. There are three jetpack types to unlock, and this guide will show you how to get them all.
Unlocking the Jetpack
To get your first jetpack, you need to travel to the Moon. Once you land, look for the room that holds the jetpack. Start from your spawning room and choose the door that doesn’t say ‘Exit.’ Walk down the hall until you reach a fork—once again, pick the door that doesn’t say ‘Exit’ and keep going straight. You’ll soon find yourself in the jetpack room.
However, this jetpack isn’t as versatile as the others. It’s great for quick horizontal movement, but it might fall short when you need to reach high places. Its operation is akin to a gas canister, meaning you can’t fly indefinitely—after use, you must wait for it to recharge.
If you collect $200,000, you’ll unlock the Golden Jetpack. While it functions like the standard jetpack, it has a unique appearance and leaves a rainbow trail when you fly.
Unlocking the Balloon Jetpack
Unlocking the Balloon Jetpack is pretty straightforward. If you’ve already acquired the standard jetpack, you can unlock the Balloon Jetpack simultaneously. Just go to the Swindon Space Program Facility, also known as the Lab.
Recall that this is where you gathered six microscopes and placed them in a cabinet to get the launch codes for the rocket to the Moon. After completing that task, enter the room labeled ‘Balloon Pack Testing.’
If you attempt to enter the room before placing all the microscopes, you’ll face a red barrier guarding the Balloon Jetpack that will eliminate you if you touch it.
The Balloon Jetpack is incredibly adaptable. Its performance varies depending on how many balloons are attached; the more you have, the better your movement—both horizontally and vertically, with a strong emphasis on vertical mobility. This makes it an excellent choice for snagging hard-to-reach items.
You can also pop the balloons one at a time to adjust how you fly or release all of them simultaneously for unique aerial maneuvers.
Unlocking the Flypack
Finding Swindon Flight School
The Flypack is the most challenging jetpack to unlock and requires some effort. Start by visiting the Flight School. Begin at the Sofa in Hideout spawn location, exit the base, and fly to the roof of the Fayju building to your left. Look for the big ‘SWINDON’ sign on the mountain.
Head in that direction and follow the road underneath the letters O and N. The building near the Zeppelin is the Swindon Flight School, and you’ll need to enter it. However, getting in requires a special hat.
Your primary task is to locate this hat. Before doing that, it’s a good idea to unlock the spawn point here for easier returns. The spawn cabin is situated in front of the hangar doors; enter it to unlock this spawn point.
Finding the Special Hat
To find the hat, head to the tall hill topped with a pole, located near the two gliders by Swindon Flight School. With your back to the hangar, you should see a lake in the distance. Fly towards the right side of the lake, near a structure and the golden pug statue on the hill. Fly over this structure and head toward the lake’s far end.
You will pass a small island on the lake and eventually arrive at the beach where the lake meets land. On the right side of the beach, next to the lilypads, look for a large sand crocodile. Nearby is a crashed helicopter containing a skeleton wearing the hat you need.
Once you’ve obtained the hat, return to the Swindon Flight School and enter the previously locked door. But entering isn’t enough—you’ll need to finish the Fly Challenge inside. You must collect three Fly Heads:
- Fly Head
- Fancy Fly Head
- Space Fly
Finding the Fly Head
Start at the Mountain spawn point and look for the snowy hill topped with a pole. From there, locate a small cabin among the snowy pine trees and fly towards it. With the cabin’s red door to your right, head towards the ocean and lower yourself to the shoreline at the base of the mountain. Keep an eye out for where the snowy terrain meets the grass.
Stand at this intersection, then with the shoreline on your right, fly over the highest parts of the nearby hills. While up high, glance toward the snowy mountain for a slight dip in the land. You’ll spot a caravan nearby, with the Normal Fly Head beside it.
Finding the Fancy Fly Head
Start at the Mountain spawn point. Head behind the spawn cabin and walk between two snowy pine trees. Below you’ll find a high hill with a single tree and an ambulance. The Hat Fly can be found at the top of this hill.
Finding the Space Fly Head
Begin at the Moon base. Fly out of the crater where the base sits, then head toward the large frog statue. Fly in the opposite direction of where the frog statue is looking, and you’ll reach the border surrounding the Moon. Keep the border on your left and continue straight. After a distance, you’ll discover a house encased in a bubble where this fly is located.
Eliminating All Flies in the Flight School
After gathering the three Fly accessories, the only step left is to enter the previously locked hangar in Swindon Flight School. Inside, you’ll proceed to complete the Fly Challenge by locating and eliminating all 83 flies within the facility. Once you’ve defeated them all, the Flypack is yours!
You can keep track of how many flies you need to eliminate by checking the small board located near the wooden chair.
Even though obtaining the Flypack is quite a challenge, it’s often considered the best jetpack in the game. It allows for lightning-fast movement without the need for recharging. This makes it extremely effective in terms of speed and practicality, although not quite as adept at vertical acceleration as the Balloon Jetpack.
If you’re on a quest to find all 83 flies in the Flight School, check out the detailed table below for their locations.
