Magical Princess offers many different endings, rewarding players for making tough choices along the way. These choices include which path to follow after entering the magical school, participating in contests, building relationships, unlocking new opportunities, and engaging in battles.
With so many ways to play and various options at your disposal, planning your run from the start is essential for achieving a good ending. If you’re new to the game, here are some helpful tips for your first playthrough.
Sneak Out at Night
While you might worry that sneaking out at night could turn you evil and spoil your playthrough, it also allows you to build important relationships and improve your skills. Avoid going out every night if it increases your evil meter too much, but be sure to take advantage of nights when you can increase your relationships without gaining evil points. Even just wandering out without any activities can help strengthen bonds. Keep in mind, some achievements and characters are only accessible if you sneak out, so don’t avoid it entirely.
Plan Your Route
Since there’s a lot to do, it’s a good idea to decide early on how you want to approach your run. This planning helps you know which weapons, armor, classes, responses, and jobs will benefit your strategy best. Going in blind is doable, but success is easier if you map out your route beforehand. Focusing on attributes like Stamina and Strength tends to be simpler initially than magic-based paths.
Go to Work
Working at various jobs not only provides you with gold for upgrades but also supplies ingredients for cooking. Depending on how often you work and where, you’ll unlock higher work levels, gaining access to new materials that can boost your stats. Make sure to allocate time for work at least a few times, as it’s a quick way to increase your stats outside of classes. Money earned from working can be used to buy better gear, making it a worthwhile activity.
Clear Your Stress Before Activities
To perform your best during lessons and activities, it’s important to reduce your stress first. Sneaking out at night doesn’t help much with stress recovery, so be sure to eat snacks or meals you’ve cooked, which can recover stamina and lower stress levels. Proper stress management will improve your performance in both lessons and quests afterward.
Participate in Optional Battles
Once unlocked, optional battles should not be skipped. They cost six stamina but provide valuable rewards, such as medals for gold resale, materials like meat for cooking, and experience for your party members. These battles also help you prepare for nighttime fights and prevent falling behind in combat skills.
Focus on Two Party Members for Battles
Preparing for the big fight during the Crimson Moon requires leveling up two key characters. By consistently choosing these characters for battle, they will reach higher levels and unlock new abilities, making them more effective during tough encounters. Recommended partners include Chocolat for healing, paired with Crois or Noah for dark magic. For a magic-focused team, pairing Chocolat with Hasis works well, and for light magic healing, adjust your partner choices accordingly.
Level Up Your Cooking Skill
Cooking plays a big role in recovery and boosting stats. As you work through various jobs, you’ll gather ingredients for baking and farming. Use these ingredients to create dishes that restore stamina, reduce stress, and increase specific stats, giving you an edge in battles and activities.
Build Relationships
Relationships with characters significantly impact your game ending and interaction options. Fated partners influence your final outcome, and your bond with them also unlocks scenes and decisions. Spending time with your favorite characters reduces stress and raises your relationship points, so try to maximize your affinity with at least one character to secure them as a partner at the end.
Don’t Try to Do Everything in Your First Run
The game is designed to be replayed multiple times. Your first run should focus on following your chosen path and completing your specific goals. Many endings and achievements require multiple plays to unlock. Carry over some progress—like points or upgrades—from your first run to the next to help you succeed and access new content.
Complete As Many Achievements as Possible
Achievements grant points that can be used to carry over progress, such as extra gold, skills, or stat improvements, into your next playthrough. Concentrate on earning as many achievements as you can in each run to maximize your points, making subsequent runs easier and more flexible in terms of strategy.
Playing more than once is key to unlocking everything. Focus on your chosen build during your first play, earn achievements, and gather points to improve your future runs. This approach ensures you’re prepared for all challenges and can pursue different endings in each new playthrough.
