Digital Phablet – The Syrian Artists Syndicate, Damascus branch, announced on Sunday the passing of renowned artist Ahmed Khalifa at the age of 81 in the Syrian capital.
The syndicate shared on its Facebook page: “The Damascus branch of the Artists Syndicate extends its condolences on the loss of our esteemed colleague, artist Ahmed Khalifa. Details regarding the funeral, burial arrangements, and memorial services will be shared later.”
The late artist had an extensive career spanning many decades, with contributions across film, television, and radio.
Cause of Ahmed Khalifa’s Death:
Family sources confirmed that Khalifa’s passing was due to a sudden and severe health crisis experienced in recent days. After his condition rapidly declined, he was urgently taken to a hospital in Damascus for treatment and monitoring. Unfortunately, he succumbed to his illness, leaving behind a remarkable artistic legacy.
Career Highlights of Ahmed Khalifa:
Throughout his career, Khalifa took part in numerous works that made a significant impact on Syrian entertainment. Notable among these are the film “Dreams of a City” and popular television series such as “Zurafa’a Walakin,” “Dunya,” “Bab Al-Hara,” “Yawmiyat Mudir Aam,” “Asaad Al-Warraq,” “Jamil and Hana,” and “A’ilat 6 Nujoum.” These productions left a lasting mark on Syrian drama.
