Digital Phablet – Kuwait’s leading actress Hayat Al-Fahed passed away at the age of 78 after battling a prolonged illness, her official page announced on Tuesday.
Yesterday, the Kuwaiti actress was moved to intensive care following a sudden decline in her health that necessitated urgent medical intervention, the statement revealed.
The Al-Fahd Artistic Production Foundation issued a statement saying, “To God we belong, and to Him we shall return.”
The statement continued, “With hearts filled with faith in God’s will and decree, we mourn the loss of the esteemed artist Hayat Al-Fahed, who left this world after a struggle with illness, leaving behind a legacy rich in artistic and humanitarian contributions.”
“She was a symbol of Gulf drama, and her enduring legacy will remain in the memories of generations. We pray that God envelops her with His infinite mercy, grants her a place in His vast paradise, and provides patience and comfort to her family and loved ones.”
When is Hayat Al-Fahed’s funeral?
The Al-Fahd Artistic Production Foundation issued a statement on Tuesday regarding the funeral arrangements for the celebrated Kuwaiti star, often called the “First Lady of Gulf Cinema.”
They announced, “Hayat Ahmed Youssef Al-Fahed will be laid to rest on Tuesday, April 21, 2026, after the afternoon prayer at Sulaibikhat Cemetery.”
Condolences for men will be received exclusively at the cemetery.
Mourners of women will gather tomorrow, Wednesday, and the condolence process will continue for three days.
The foundation also provided the location of the women’s mourning house for those wishing to pay their respects.
