TikTok App Is Banned In India Among 59 Other Chinese Apps

After the immense tensions between China and India, the TikTok app is banned in India among other 59 critical Chinese apps to Boycott China.

The Indian government is now disallowing the use of any Chinese app within India. This ban also extends to smartphones as well that are made in China.

The information ministry of India has stated in a press briefing that using Chinese apps and smartphones can create a problem for users in India, as the privacy of these Chinese devices are not strong, and they leach on information from Indian users.

TikTok is one of the top 5 free applications on the Apple Store in India. Despite the ban, it is still one of the most used apps in the Indian region.
