US Lifts Ban From Huawei, Restores Business With Huawei

President Trump said at a news conference that according to the Wall Street Journal report, after holding talks with the Chinese president on Saturday, he will allow US companies to conduct business and allow high-tech equipment to be sold to Huawei Technologies Co., Ltd.

The Trump administration has another strange move. Just a month ago, Trump banned Huawei from doing business with American companies. The US president’s move forced companies like Google and David to cut off their business relationship with Huawei, but the latest update in the ongoing trade war between the two has made considerable changes.

“We. Companies can sell their equipment to Huawei. We are talking about equipment that has no serious national security issues,” Trump said at a press conference after the G20 summit in Osaka, Japan.

However, Trump stressed that only transactions on devices that do not pose a threat to US national security are allowed. Therefore, it is not clear whether this new development will allow Google to resume its business with Huawei. It is worth noting that the recent ban on Huawei’s use of Android may cause Google to lose more than 700 million customers.

“I said it is OK, we will continue to sell the products, these are the American companies that produce these products. By the way, this is very complicated. I agree to allow them to continue to sell the product so that the US company can continue to sell.” Trump said.

In 2018, Huawei and US chip makers Intel, Qualcomm, and Microsoft jointly invested about 11 billion US dollars. Forcing these American companies to cut off their business relationship with Huawei will definitely bring great losses to the US economy. At present, Huawei is still on the “list of entities”, including companies that are prohibited from doing any business with the US Department of Commerce. However, after a successful meeting between the representatives of the two countries, the situation may be different.

“We have had very pleasant talks with Chinese President Xi Jinping. It is very good. I will say it is great and very good. We have discussed a lot of things, we are just back on track and we will see what will happen.” Trang Pu said that according to the BBC report

In order to be a more competitive smartphone market, we hope that the United States and China will reach an agreement to enable Huawei to carry out its daily business.
