Ooredoo Kuwait is dedicated to fostering a positive workplace by implementing policies and initiatives that promote a healthy and comfortable environment for its staff, adhering to top global standards. These strategies highlight the company’s commitment to employee well-being and aim to create a harmonious balance between professional responsibilities and personal lives, ultimately driving productivity and enhancing work quality.
As part of its ongoing efforts to cultivate an ideal work atmosphere, Ooredoo has unveiled two new initiatives: “Flexible Working Hours” and “Remote Work,” which coincide with the new academic year. These programs are designed to help employees achieve a better work-life balance while ensuring a supportive and healthy work environment that boosts productivity and job satisfaction.
Omar Al Bassam, Chief Human Resources Officer at Ooredoo Kuwait, stated, “We continuously aim to elevate our work environment, believing that comfort and flexibility will significantly enhance our employees’ performance and productivity. The introduction of flexible working hours empowers employees to select their preferred working times, enabling them to strike the perfect balance between their professional and personal commitments. Employees can choose to arrive at work anytime between 7:30 AM and 9:30 AM, and leave between 3:30 PM and 5:30 PM, provided they complete their 8-hour workday.”
He further explained, “With the new academic year starting, we recognized the potential challenges our employees might encounter, particularly regarding traffic. Therefore, the flexible working hours initiative was created to align with employees’ needs, reduce congestion on the roads, and ultimately enhance comfort while allowing them to fulfill their job responsibilities more effectively.”
Investing in Human Capital: The Key to Growth
Ooredoo Kuwait understands that investing in human capital is a fundamental aspect of its success strategy. As a people-centered organization, Ooredoo relentlessly seeks to provide an exceptional work environment for its employees, who are viewed as integral to the company’s achievements and service expansion.
In this regard, the company has introduced a range of training programs focused on skill enhancement at all career levels, from newcomers to seasoned leaders.

Al Bassam emphasized, “Employees represent the true asset of any flourishing organization, which is why we prioritize investing in training and developing our local workforce. We offer a variety of the latest training and development opportunities to keep them abreast of the latest advancements in their fields, thereby enhancing their skills and equipping them for leadership roles within the company. Additionally, we ensure they receive ongoing support to facilitate their personal and professional development.”

“Because We Care About Our Employees” Initiative
As part of its “Because We Care About Our Employees” initiative, Ooredoo Kuwait has introduced the “Remote Work” program, allowing employees to work from home for two days each month, pending approval from their direct supervisors. This program seeks to improve workplace flexibility and support a healthy balance between personal and professional lives. It also reflects the company’s trust in its staff by enabling them to effectively complete their tasks remotely while meeting deadlines and participating in virtual meetings.

Al Bassam concluded, “Our dedication to nurturing a comfortable and healthy work environment is rooted in our belief that employees are the key to our success. We continually strive to provide everything necessary for our employees to work efficiently and creatively. Our commitment to enhancing our employee care culture will persist as we implement flexible work arrangements and innovative programs that contribute to their well-being and the company’s overarching success.”
