Apple has officially launched the iPhone 16 series, shifting the focus of tech enthusiasts toward Samsung’s forthcoming Galaxy S series. Coincidentally, Android Headlines has given us an exclusive sneak peek at the newly redesigned Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra.

Set to make its debut in January or February, the Galaxy S25 Ultra showcases several bold design alterations aligning with previous speculations. The most striking change is the introduction of completely flat sides, contrasting the Galaxy S24 Ultra, which maintained flat edges only on the top and bottom while featuring rounded sides on the remaining edges.Interestingly, this design choice was recently adopted by the Google Pixel 9, prompting discussions around inspiration being drawn from Apple’s design blueprint.

Moreover, the Galaxy S25 Ultra is expected to be more lightweight compared to its predecessor and even the recently unveiled iPhone 16 Pro Max. The anticipated weight of this new device is around 219 grams, in contrast to the Galaxy S24 Ultra’s 232 grams and the iPhone’s 227 grams. The reduced weight is attributed to a smaller, more compact design with minimized bezels, while the screen size is expected to remain at 6.8 inches.

In terms of camera capabilities, the Galaxy S25 Ultra is projected to offer a robust system that includes a 50-megapixel ultrawide lens, a 200MP main camera, and a 10MP telephoto camera offering 3x zoom.

We can also anticipate a 5,000mAh battery in the upcoming Galaxy S Ultra. Additionally, it will likely feature the new Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 processor, which Qualcomm has yet to officially unveil, although announcements are anticipated at next month’s Snapdragon Summit.

Expectations are high as we await more details regarding the Galaxy S25 series in the upcoming weeks and months. Historically, Samsung tends to introduce these flagship models shortly after the New Year, with a release slated soon after. There will reportedly be three models: the Galaxy S25, Galaxy S25 Plus, and the Galaxy S25 Ultra.

Interestingly, there has been chatter that the Galaxy S25 Ultra may not be branded as such next year, with speculation that Samsung might revert to a familiar name, potentially dubbing it the “Galaxy S25 Note.”
