DUBAI: The Pakistani community in Dubai has accomplished a stunning feat by creating the world’s largest UAE flag made up of 24,514 human handprints, officially recognized by Guinness World Records.
This event, hosted at the Pakistan Association Dubai (PAD), welcomed individuals from over 100 nationalities including Indians, Bangladeshis, Filipinos, and Arabs, exemplifying the UAE’s spirit of unity and diversity.
The significant gathering took place at the Pakistan Association Dubai auditorium on Thursday, May 22.
Among those present were Ambassador Faisal Niaz Tirmizi, Pakistan’s Ambassador to the UAE, and Consul General Hussain Muhammad, who were there to witness the official certification of this milestone by a Guinness World Records representative.
Ambassador Tirmizi commended the achievement, referring to the handprints as “heart prints” that represent love, unity, and dedication. He remarked, “This initiative embodies the vision of UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and highlights the strong ties between the Pakistani community and the UAE.”
The initiative was a collaboration between the Pakistan Association Dubai, Emirates Love Pakistan, and artist Rubab Zahra, who conceptualized the project. The month-long campaign kicked off on April 13 during Pakistan Health Week at the Al Quoz area of Dubai.
Speaking to Geo News, artist Rubab Zahra expressed her joy over the achievement, saying, “When I first imagined this project, I reached out to the Pakistan Association Dubai, and together, we put in a tremendous effort over the month to make it happen. Today, I feel proud to affirm that dreams can indeed become reality through hard work and courage.”
The hand-painted flag, a massive work of art that adorned the PAD building, stood as a testament to the collaborative spirit of the UAE’s multicultural society and the strong relationship between Pakistan and the UAE.
Mbali Nkosi, the Guinness World Records adjudicator, congratulated the participants, noting that the final count was 24,514. “This was a remarkable accomplishment by the Pakistan Association Dubai, Emirates Love Pakistan, and artist Rubab Zahra. Congratulations! You are officially incredible,” she said with enthusiasm.

In a show of gratitude, PAD President Dr. Faisal Ikram thanked all contributors, highlighting that this accomplishment reflects the values of the UAE’s “Year of Community 2025.”
