If you’re trying to create a CloudFront distribution and run into an error message, don’t worry—you’re not alone. Even if you’ve been using AWS services like EC2, S3, or Lambda without issues, CloudFront requires an extra verification step before you can set it up.

Here’s how to fix the problem quickly:

First, check if you’ve already contacted AWS Support about this. If you’ve submitted a support case—like case number 176239586300554 from a week ago—you’re on the right track. If not, reach out to AWS Support through the AWS Support Center and explain your situation.

Make sure your support request falls under the “Account and billing support” category. This support type is free and handles verification issues like this one. When you get in touch, include the exact error message you’re receiving so support can better understand what’s happening.

It may also help to ask for a quota increase for “CloudFront Distributions” and “Web Distributions per Account.” Sometimes, limiting quotas can cause issues, and increasing them can resolve the problem.

Remember, this verification step is a security measure that AWS applies to all accounts, even if your account has verified other services and has a valid payment method. The CloudFront verification is separate and designed to protect your account.

Since it’s been a week since you opened your support case, consider following up or creating a new request to speed things up. Support might need some additional information from you to complete the verification process and help you move forward with your CloudFront setup.
