Dubai has revealed an ambitious new metro project, called the “Golden Line,” with a budget of 34 billion dirhams (approximately $9.25 billion). The authorities expect it to be finished by September 9, 2032. The Golden Line will run roughly 40 meters underground, connecting 15 prominent districts throughout the emirate, as shared by Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum on social media. The new route aims to serve about 1.5 million residents and bolster 55 major real estate projects currently under development. Overall, Dubai’s metro network will grow by 35%, enhancing transportation infrastructure to support the city’s expanding population and urban landscape.
