While we can’t advocate for drinking in real life, there’s no harm in crafting a pale ale or two in Stardew Valley. It can be a refreshing beverage or a valuable item for your shop. Moreover, if you’re trying to impress a specific villager, pale ale makes a wonderful gift. If you haven’t mastered brewing yet, don’t worry! We’ll walk you through the precise steps to create pale ale in Stardew Valley.
How to Brew Pale Ale
If you’re new to brewing, don’t fret; the process in Stardew Valley is straightforward. To make pale ale, all you need is a keg and some hops.
Step 1: First, you’ll need to craft a keg, which requires reaching at least farming level 8 to unlock the recipe. Here’s what you’ll need to build it:
- 30 wood
- 1 copper bar
- 1 iron bar
- 1 oak resin
Step 2: Purchase hops at Pierre’s General Store. Look for the Hops Starter, which costs 60g. Buy as many as you’d like to brew.
After purchasing, plant the seeds and wait for them to grow.
Step 3: Once your hops are ready, place them in the keg and wait approximately a day and a half for them to transform into pale ale.
Step 4: For those looking to enhance the value of their ale, you can transfer it to a cask. Aging it for 34 days can elevate its quality from normal to iridium.
If selling isn’t on your agenda, drinking the pale ale isn’t particularly beneficial, as it only grants your character a “tipsy” status that reduces movement speed temporarily.
