Neverness to Everness offers plenty of freedom in an open world filled with anime-style characters. The game features quirky characters with unique fighting styles and elemental powers that come together to create cool animations and dynamic battle opportunities.
Aurelia, a charming character who rides a jellyfish, is a fun addition to your lineup. She has special moves that make her a valuable asset, especially for dealing with multiple enemies at once using her area-of-effect attacks. She deals Psyche damage and typically moves around the battlefield on her jellyfish, attacking enemies in her path.
Since she moves by riding her jellyfish, Aurelia can’t climb or vault over obstacles, but she gains a higher jump and enhanced gliding and swimming capabilities.
Most of her damage output and ability usage come from her critical dodge during her Staccato move, so you’re not spamming her basic attacks but focusing on well-timed dodges and precise movements.
Aurelia’s Overview and Esper Ability Priority
Aurelia acts as a main damage dealer, with a fighting stance that’s ideal for crowd control and AoE damage. She excels at Psyche damage and is usually seen darting around the field on her jellyfish, shooting enemies along the way.
When utilizing Aurelia, manage your stamina wisely to stay in her DPS zone. Riding her jellyfish and executing her special dodges—especially the critical dodge—are key to maximizing damage. Consistent use of her mobility and dodging skills will ensure you get the best results in combat.
Aurelia’s Esper Abilities
Her skills include:
- Legato: A basic attack performing four quick hits with Psyche damage.
- Staccato: Another basic attack where holding the dodge button lets her ride her jellyfish, enabling fast movement. While riding, she can perform a “Critical Dodge Riposte” that automatically shoots four blasts.
- Portamento: She jumps from the sky, dealing Psyche damage on impact, with damage based on fall height.
- Critical Riposte: Syncopation: A post-dodge attack that hits around her area and reduces the enemy’s Break gauge.
- Cadenza Aria: An AoE skill that deals Psyche damage and grants her a damage buff when in Cadenza state.
- Canon Chorus: Her ultimate attack, causing AoE Psyche damage and pulling enemies closer.
- Support Skill: A simple move that does Psyche damage on impact.
While riding her jellyfish, Aurelia can quickly dash around and pick off enemies with Psyche damage. Successfully dodging during her Staccato activates blasts that add extra damage, so mastering her movement and stamina management is crucial for optimal DPS.
Upgrading Skills
Focus first on her passive abilities, as these significantly boost her damage output. Next, upgrade her basic skills that trigger passive effects. Then, prioritize her ultimate and other skills based on your preference. Keep in mind:
- Maximize her passives early.
- Use her critical dodge to keep her in Cadenza for as long as possible.
- Upgrade her Crit Rate and damage buffs to build a damage-focused playstyle.
Best Arcs for Aurelia
Once you’ve played for ten days and receive the “Stellar Veil” arc as a login reward, it’s a solid option for Aurelia, particularly because it boosts Psyche damage and Crit damage when using Psyche skills, stacking well with her abilities. The “Ready-Ready” arc is also useful, offering a critical riposte boost and a 15% attack increase, especially early on.
Other good options include “Fluff of Fortitude,” which increases damage against enemies with low health, making her more effective in the late game.
Recommended Cartridges and Modules
To enhance Aurelia’s performance, select cartridges that boost Psyche damage. The top choice is the Devil’s Blood: Curse, which provides a significant Psyche damage increase and damage against enemies with Nova or Stain, which she can inflict with the right team.
If you lack that, the Lost Radiance cartridge is a good secondary option, helping her deal more damage after her ultimate by ignoring some of the enemy’s defense.
Best Teams for Aurelia
Depending on your spending and luck, you can build teams that exploit her Stain, Discord, and Nova effects:
- Premium Team: Aurelia, Hathor, Daffodil, Jiuyuan – features top-tier characters to maximize her abilities.
- Alternative Team: Aurelia, Daffodil, Adler, Haniel – a balanced setup for varying needs.
- F2P Team: Aurelia, Adler, Esper/Zero, a flexible character – easy to assemble with free characters, emphasizing burst damage and shields.
Premium teams include S-rank characters with abilities that support Aurelia’s damage output and application of status effects, with less need for Hathor or Jiuyuan to stay on the field long.
Awakening Priority
When upgrading Aurelia, focus on her awakening skills in this order:
- Futuristic Prelude: Boosts her Crit rate in Cadenza, making it the most valuable.
- Unique Melody: Extends her Cadenza duration, keeping her in her damage-enhancing state longer.
- Trio Rest: Increases her damage during Cadenza with additional buffs.
- Simple Melody: Raises Crit rate further.
- Bygone Fugue: Expands her Crescendo stacks to increase damage potential.
- Staff Gap: Boosts her defense when using Staccato.
Prioritize crit rate and damage increases in this sequence to maintain continuous Cadenza and maximize her DPS. Keep her in Cadenza as much as possible by increasing her crit rate first, then extending its duration, and making use of her dodge mechanics to trigger bonus damage.
