World of Warcraft presents numerous chances for players to engage in competitive gameplay for rewards, whether it’s through Battlegrounds, open-world PvP, or Arenas. Among these options is Plunderstorm, a pirate-themed battle royale set in the picturesque Arathi Highlands. The main prize for the victors? A treasure trove of plunder!
With a total of 68 items available in the Plunderstore, gathering the necessary Plunder to acquire everything can be quite a task. This guide aims to provide you with all the information needed to effectively farm for Plunder, so get ready to set sail for some serious loot!
How to Acquire Plunder in Plunderstorm
In Plunderstorm, you can find Plunder in several locations, with much of it simply lying around the map or hidden in chests. While some methods yield more Plunder than others, it’s best to use a variety of strategies mentioned below to collect approximately 1,000 Plunder per match.
Note: You can carry a maximum of 15,000 Plunder at any time, so be sure to spend it regularly!
Enemies
Enemies can be found scattered throughout the map, each dropping around ten Plunder upon defeat. To maximize your earnings, it’s advisable to group up and take down large clusters of enemies at once. Alternatively, you can engage in PvP and hunt down other players, which can result in dropping even more Plunder based on their level.
Bosses
During each match, two bosses known as the Pieces of Hate will appear in different areas marked by a skull icon. You’ll be alerted when one spawns with phrases like "All hands on deck!" or "A scourge of the storm has arrived!"
These bosses boast considerable health but can be taken down relatively easily by evading their attacks. Once defeated, they drop a significant amount of Plunder and a rare chest. Just be wary of other players who may want a piece of the action!
Quests
At the start of each match, you’ll receive a random “Captain’s Orders” quest, which could involve tasks like looting spells or gathering 250 Plunder. These objectives are typically straightforward and reward you with 250 Plunder upon completion. Finishing one quest per match is an excellent way to accumulate Plunder, even if you don’t emerge victorious.
