Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 is known for its regular events, with the team constantly launching something engaging, even if it’s just a curated playlist. This time, comedian Seth Rogen is hosting the “Blaze of Glory” event, where players can earn Blaze Bucks to trade for various prizes, including cosmetic items and permanent upgrades like perks and field enhancements.
The good news is that this event is a micro-event, meaning you can quickly rack up rewards. While the event covers different modes, you can easily clear the reward track by diving into the fast-paced 24/7 playlists, allowing you to engage in frequent skirmishes with other players to earn those bucks rapidly.
How the Blaze of Glory Event Works
A Virtual Seth Rogen Hosts the Event
Blaze of Glory spans all modes in Call of Duty: Black Ops 6, enabling players to earn Blaze Bucks in every primary mode (Warzone, multiplayer, zombies). Blaze Bucks function as a currency within and outside the game, dropping in cash form when you eliminate opponents or open Warzone Supply Caches. These look like little golden ticket bills, and you can use this currency to purchase rewards from a menu screen within Black Ops 6.
Available rewards for Blaze of Glory include:
- Double XP Token (x1)
- Decal (x1)
- Emblem (x1)
- Double Weapon XP Token (x1)
- Calling Card (x1)
- Gobblegum (x1)
- Frost Blast Field Upgrade for Zombies (x1)
- A perk called Vendetta (x1) – “On respawn, mark your killer’s last known position for a short duration. Get bonus points for eliminating that enemy.”
- An emote (x1)
- Battle Pass Skip (x1)
Once you complete all ten reward slots, you’ll also unlock a weapon camo called “Highly Decorated.” In total, you’ll need 255 Blaze Bucks to collect all rewards, so keep that in mind if you have limited time and only want to grab some specific non-cosmetic items. It’s a good idea to keep track of how many Blaze Bucks you earn in each game, as this will help you plan your time to complete everything.
In my experience, Blaze Bucks drop about 50% of the time. This means every time you score an elimination or an assist, there’s a 50% chance the fallen enemy will drop Blaze Bucks. Remember, close-quarters combat and weapons can help you collect bucks faster, similar to the Kill Confirmed core mode. This is why maps with tight spaces are ideal, as you won’t have to run far to pick up your rewards.
The Blaze of Glory event concludes on Thursday, May 15.
Play Casual Warzone If You Don’t Play Multiplayer
Warzone Does Not Grant Blaze Bucks on Eliminations
If you prefer to play Warzone, you’re in luck; it’s still possible to earn all the Blaze Bucks you need from it, even in the newly introduced casual mode. In this mode, Blaze Bucks drop from caches and will appear on your HUD as single Blaze Buck drops. You’ll see them accumulate in the same area where cash indicators pop up on your screen, right in the center.
However, keep in mind that this isn’t the most efficient way to earn Blaze Bucks quickly. Warzone does not provide Blaze Buck drops for eliminations, so you’ll need to depend on finding them in containers. Opt for named locations to increase your chances of finding bucks: I had great luck at Train Station and Boneyard—both are notable hotspots with numerous chests.
Grinding Quick 24/7 Playlists Is the Fastest Route
Stakeout 24/7 Is a Quick Option
Based on my experience, constantly playing Stakeout through the Stakeout 24/7 playlist is the quickest way to accumulate Blaze Bucks and fully complete the Blaze of Glory event rewards. You might remember Stakeout as that close-quarters apartment map filled with chaos and frequent firefights. Since you can earn Blaze Bucks through eliminations and assists in Black Ops 6, this method guarantees you’ll stay in the action and take out players every few seconds.
Fortunately, Blaze Bucks remain on the ground even after you’re eliminated, so there’s no rush to scoop them up if you’re about to go down. This is why maps with constant action (especially Stakeout) work so well; you can respawn, grab the Blaze Bucks, and continue your mission to eliminate as many players as you can. Make sure to get involved in as many eliminations and assists as possible to earn Blaze Bucks indirectly.
While Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 follows a similar format for many micro-events, they’re straightforward to navigate even if you’re a former player. The rewards for Blaze of Glory are also easy to understand, so as long as you’re getting eliminations or assists and focusing on Stakeout, you can finish the event in less than a day. Find a weapon that suits you well and jump in whenever you have spare time.
