Playing Arknights: Endfield over the long term mainly aims to gather a lot of Oroberyl so you can pull for your favorite limited characters on the banner. Gilberta is one of these characters and first appeared during the second banner when she was rate-up in Version 1.0. Even if you don’t pull her directly, you can still acquire her if you miss out on a 50-50 on the banner before or on two banners afterward. Gilberta is one of the strongest support units in the game because she can group enemies together. With proper build-up, she can do much more than that.
Best Gilberta Weapons and Essence
There are many weapon options in the game, but Gilberta can only use the Arts Unit. Out of all her weapons, her signature weapon, Delivery Guaranteed, provides the most value, especially because it enhances her Ultimate Gain Efficiency and grants a big Arts Damage Bonus to the team when she applies Lifted to enemies. To guarantee getting her signature weapon, you’ll need to pull several times on the weapon banner, but alternative weapons are available if you can’t.
| Weapon Name | Rarity | Stat Boost Types | Description |
|---|---|---|---|
| Delivery Guaranteed | 6-Star | Will, Ultimate Gain Efficiency, Pursuit | Increases Arts Damage and team bonus when lifting enemies. The damage bonus rises with the number of enemies she applies Lifted to. |
| Opus: Etch Figure | 6-Star | Will, Nature DMG, Suppression | Slightly lower boost to Arts DMG than Delivery Guaranteed, with some Arts team support but no Ultimate Gain Efficiency. |
| Monaihe | 5-Star | Will, Ultimate Gain Efficiency, Inspiring | Less impactful than 6-star options but still valuable for Ultimate Gain Efficiency. |
| Fluorescent Roc | 4-Star | Will, ATK, Suppression | A good free-to-earn option for a Will boost if you don’t have rare weapons. |
The Essence for Gilberta depends on the weapon she equips. For maximum effectiveness, aim for Essence with boosts to all three stats compatible with her weapon. Check which weapons can use specific Essences based on the Energy Alluvium you’re farming.
You can buy Engraving Permits and use them to eliminate unwanted stat boosts while farming Essence, increasing your chances of getting the perfect one.
Best Gilberta Gear Sets
Gear sets in Endfield are predictable; you always get the stats you aim for when crafting. The top gear set for Gilberta is Eternal Xiranite, which includes Gloves T1, Power Core, and Auxiliary Arm. This set provides a 16% damage bonus to her entire team when she applies Susceptibility with her Ultimate and helps her trigger her Ultimate faster.
Other good sets include:
- Catastrophe: Heavy Armor T1, Gloves, Filter — good mid-game set providing some Ultimate Gain Efficiency and SP recovery.
- Mordvolt Resistant: Any pieces — decent early on for a Will boost.
After acquiring her best pieces from Eternal Xiranite, the last gear slot for armor should be Bonekrusha’s Poncho T1, which offers a significant Will increase along with some Ultimate Gain Efficiency.
Gilberta’s Best Teams
Since Gilberta is a limited character, her best team compositions often include other limited units, especially those introduced alongside her in Version 1.0. She pairs well with Yvonne, as her grouping skill boosts Yvonne’s damage output and utility. A key point is to prevent her Nature Infliction from overlapping with Cryo or Heat Infliction, which can trigger Arts Reactions that make the inflictions unusable.
A typical rotation involves Gilberta using her skill to gather enemies, applying Nature Infliction, and then adding other Inflictions if needed. Her support for Yvonne allows her to excel even against AoE enemies, thanks to the Nature Infliction that makes buffing her easier.
If you lack the main limited characters, Gilberta can also be teamed with Arvywenna, Xaihi, and Estella for effective support.
Gilberta Ability Overview and Priorities
Gilberta’s skills are key to her performance. Her battle skill pulls enemies strongly if they’re small and explodes after a moment, applying Nature Infliction. Her combo skill activates when an Arts Reaction occurs; it grants Lifted status to enemies and can heal allies if multiple enemies are affected. She provides Ultimate Gain Efficiency to guards, casters, and supporters, and her Ultimate inflicts AoE Arts Susceptibility, which is further increased by Vulnerable stacks on enemies.
Prioritize upgrading her Ultimate and battle skills first since these directly impact her utility and damage output. You can opt not to fully upgrade her combo skill or basic attack to save resources if needed. Her offensive and support abilities work best when these key skills are fully developed.
Summary
Gilberta’s effectiveness depends heavily on her gear, weapons, and team composition. Focusing on her signature weapon, the Eternal Xiranite gear set, and coordinated team support ensures she maximizes her potential in both single-target and AoE scenarios, making her a valuable asset in many strategies.
