As you dive deeper into Satisfactory, progressing through new tiers offers a unique sense of accomplishment. Advancing through these tiers requires increasingly more effort, yet each unlock brings a host of exciting tools and machines that allow for a more efficient reorganization of your operations.
To reach Tier 7, you’ll need to complete Phase 3 of the Space Elevator. While there may not be a vast array of new machines to discover at this stage, what remains is both practical and entertaining.
Tier 7 Milestones
In Tier 7, there are five different milestones, each serving distinct purposes. Some focus on enabling the manufacture of brand-new materials, while others improve the efficiency of transporting yourself and resources.
Bauxite Refinement
Unlocking Bauxite Refinement presents the opportunity to manufacture aluminum, critical for various machinery and structures you’ll need as you progress. Aluminum is primarily utilized for construction-related resources, such as Aluminum Beams.
Bauxite is a resource node, which means you must locate one to initiate this process. In addition to refining Bauxite, you’ll also uncover Raw Quartz, which can be processed into Silica, another essential material for your aluminum production.
You can also obtain Silica as a byproduct when creating Alumina Solution, at a ratio of 5:12 Silica to 12 Alumina Solution.
The production sequence involves converting Alumina Solution → Aluminum Scrap → Aluminum Ingot → either Alclad Aluminum Sheet or Aluminum Casing. Producing Alumina Solution requires water in addition to Bauxite, resulting in Silica along with the primary resource, Alumina Solution. From there, you’ll convert the Alumina Solution into Aluminum Ingots, utilizing the Silica and Aluminum Scrap generated in earlier steps.
Hoverpack
One of the best additions from Tier 7 is the Hoverpack. If you’ve built extensive vertical machinery, navigating your environment can become a significant challenge. The Hoverpack enables you to hover to any destination you need, drawing power wirelessly from nearby sources, as long as you have an additional 100MW of power available.
Keep in mind that you’ll need to produce aluminum to access the Hoverpack since it requires Aluminum Sheets.
Logistics Mk. 5
You’re probably familiar with conveyor belts and their upgrades by now. The Logistics Mk. 5 milestone enhances how many resources can be transported each minute, dramatically increasing production efficiency.
Hazmat Suit
The Hazmat Suit may not seem vital at first, but it becomes crucial once you advance to Tier 8, especially when dealing with nuclear power. After acquiring the suit, you’ll also need Iodine-Infused Filters for protection against radiation.
Control System Development
Unlocking Control System Development opens a treasure trove of items, including a Project Part, new buildings, and fuel sources. Among its many uses, Sulfuric Acid is essential for producing Uranium Cells, while batteries will power vehicles. Radio Control Units and Supercomputers are vital for crafting endgame items.
Tier 7 Tips and Goals
As you start Tier 7, your first step should be to establish and optimize your aluminum production. Without aluminum, progressing further in this tier could be a major obstacle. Many later-game recipes will demand significant amounts of this resource.
Following that, focus on acquiring the Hoverpack. Having enough power available for this won’t be overly complicated at this stage, but just remember to keep it powered while you are using it, or you might find yourself falling unexpectedly!
For the remaining milestones, you can tackle them at your discretion. While some are pivotal for future tiers, they may not prove immediately necessary. The Mk. 5 Conveyor Belts and Lifts stand out as being particularly convenient, though not strictly essential until you’re really pushing for maximum production speed.
