Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 is packed with various side quests, ensuring that players have plenty to discover even after finishing the main storyline. One notable quest in the Kuttenberg area is called "A Good Scrub," which you can activate by speaking to Betty.
In this quest, your character, Henry, is tasked with assisting Betty, the owner of a struggling bathhouse, to avoid bankruptcy. Successfully completing this quest can earn you discounts on services at the Kingfisher Bathhouse. Below, we’ll walk you through how to achieve the best outcome without any complications.
How to Start the "A Good Scrub" Quest
The quest may already be marked on your map. If not, visit the innkeeper with a quest marker located on the east side of Kuttenberg City and inquire about recent happenings. The mission icon will appear near The Hole in the Wall Tavern.
Once you find the tavern, enter the building located to the west of Gunmaker Prokop Eldris’ shop and talk to Betty. She will immediately ask for your help, leading you to retrieve a package for her from Grund.
How to Help Betty
When you reach Grund, speak to Wagoner Matsek, who should be outside the tavern. If he’s not there, check inside. He’ll provide you with all the details you need regarding the package, so make sure to chat with the girls sitting at a nearby table.
When the girls settle into the cart, mount your horse and speak to them again. One of them will pose an important question, so think carefully before responding. Once you’ve answered, the game will transition you straight to the bathhouse.
Upon your return, Betty will present another proposal. After you agree to assist her, you’ll need to choose the beginning, middle, and end parts of a promotional speech for the bathhouse. Here’s what we recommend selecting:
- "Like nothing you’ve ever experienced"
- "Soothe your body and soul"
- "Feasting, dancing, and singing"
Important Note: Be sure to visit the four marked spots on the map during the daytime, as no one will hear you if you try at night. If it is nighttime, fast forward time or rest until morning.
Tidying Up the Bathhouse
With the promotion complete, return to Betty for a cutscene to trigger. Following some festivities, you’ll discover that the aftermath is messy. After waking up, you’ll need to clean the bathhouse before the council inspects it.
Warning: Do not exit through the front door during this time, as Betty will be in conversation with the Alderman, which could lead to unwanted attention and an inspection of the bathhouse.
Betty will buy you some time, so put on your clothes and start hiding the intoxicated guests. Gather them one by one and carry them upstairs into the room on your right.
Next, you’ll need to collect tankards from the ground—totaling six. Four of these will be located in the room where you woke up, while the other two can be found in the bathtub area. Don’t forget to pick up any clothes you see lying around.
In the bathtub room, there are four pieces of clothing to collect. Start by grabbing the one near the stairs. Afterward, clean the floor when you notice the mess next to the middle bathtub.
Once everything is cleaned up, the Alderman will enter and assess the situation inside the bathhouse. After his inspection, follow him outside for a concluding dialogue. Once everything is wrappe up, Betty will express her gratitude, and you will finish the quest. Additionally, you’ll receive discounted services from the bathhouse, which can potentially be upgraded to free services in a later mission.
