As Repo expands, it introduces new cosmetics, monsters, and now mini-games. Longtime fans know that developer Semiworks has always had a fun way to determine the ultimate “King of the Losers” — when you and your team all get taken out by the Repo monsters.
What began as a simple area fight has now turned into a full race resembling Mario Kart. Stay on the track, speed past your friends, and dodge obstacles to win and claim a shiny crown.
### Best Ways to Win the Race
Entering the arena can be a bit startling, but there’s a countdown before you need to start racing. To control your vehicle, make sure to steer with your mouse, not the keyboard. Use your keyboard only for drifting; trying to steer with the keyboard can send you flying off the track. Drifting is useful for quickly avoiding nearby hazards.
The goal is to stay on the track the longest. Falling off early causes your opponents to win the crown. If everyone falls off at the same time, you’ll see the “Everyone’s a Loser” message — nobody wins. A timer at the top shows how much time remains before the track disappears. If you’re too slow, you’ll fall along with the arena.
### Visual of the Race Track
Dropping into the arena can be startling, but you get a countdown before the race starts. To steer your vehicle, use your mouse, not the keyboard. You only use the keyboard for drifting, as steering with it can cause mishaps. Drifting helps you quickly dodge hazards nearby.
Winning depends on how long you last. Falling off the track first means you lose, but staying in front gives you the best chance. Throughout the race, there are items and explosives that can slow you down—causing you to fall off along with the arena—or blast you into the abyss. Drifting can help counteract explosions, keeping you on the platform.
The key is to balance speed with position. Running over glowing markings on the track gives a speed boost, helping you stay ahead of others. However, if you’re moving too fast, hitting a mine or obstacle can cause you to lose control. Being cautious isn’t always the answer; sometimes, a steady pace wins the race.
### Tip for Players
If you’re feeling brave, you can try bumping into your opponents with your vehicle. This can make them lose control and fall off the edge, giving you an advantage.
