Resident Evil Requiem has been released, and you’ll need to manage a growing inventory of weapons, consumables, and puzzle pieces. At the start, your carrying capacity is limited, but you can expand it as you progress through the game.
Here are all the inventory upgrades available to maximize your storage space:
All Hip Pouch Locations
Hip Pouch #1
The first Hip Pouch can be found in the Parlor. It’s on the west side of the care center, accessible only after finding the red gem in the Chairman’s Office. Enter the office, eliminate the zombie in the back, and grab the ornate silver box near the door. Examine the box to reveal a latch, open it, and retrieve the gem. Return downstairs to the Parlor, insert the gem into the door to unlock it. Inside, you’ll see a prize door on the left you can open with three Antique Coins, revealing your first Hip Pouch with two inventory slots.
Hip Pouch #2
Your next Hip Pouch is in the Filing Room on the first floor. To get there, you need the Level 1 ID Wristband, which you’ll earn during the story. Head to the west wing, pass through the Dining Room, and go north to reach the Filing Room. Inside, use the wristband to unlock the door. You’ll find a broken cabinet you can open with Leon, and the Hip Pouch rests on a table in the back right corner.

Hip Pouch #3
This one is inside the underground section of the care clinic, after you chase Emily into the holding cells. Find the Joint Plug at the end of the cells, then take it to the Workshop at the end of the hall. Slot the plug into the socket outside the door to power it. Inside, on a table, you’ll see the third Hip Pouch.
Warning: The below section has potential spoilers regarding enemy locations and story points. If you prefer to avoid spoilers, consider returning after this part of the story.
Hip Pouch #4
The last Hip Pouch is in the Bioweapon Repository 05 area of the ARK, once you regain control of Grace. Prepare to face enemies like Lickers and a pale zombie. Use acid or Hemolytic Injectors to stealthily take out the Lickers—they deal massive damage if they hit. Throw empty bottles to lure enemies to a spot, then toss acid for a quick kill. After defeating them, lure the zombie away and shoot it to keep silent. Return inside and interact with the glowing button on the first containment pod on your left. Inside this pod, you’ll find the final Hip Pouch.

Leon’s Case Upgrade
The final inventory upgrade is linked to Leon’s case, similar to Resident Evil 4’s attache case. It’s available by purchasing the upgrade from a Supply Box while exploring Raccoon City. You’ll earn credits by defeating enemies after discovering the BSAA camp. Use these credits to buy the case upgrade, which expands Leon’s inventory capacity, allowing him to carry more items.
