There are many armor sets and weapons available to upgrade Kliff in Crimson Desert. These include weapons with special abilities and armor sets that connect to unique Abyss Gears. Exploring off the main path often leads to valuable rewards.
Some of the most useful gear pieces, like rings, are easy to overlook. Although they don’t look flashy, most rings provide important stat boosts that make combat much easier. Here are some of the best rings and the reasons to wear them.
Best Rings Locations
Mark of Darkness
The Mark of Darkness can be found in northern Demeniss at Windmere Manor, west of the Kingshield Mountains, among estates and farmland. Upon arrival, go through the main entrance and turn left. Head up the stairs and through the second door on the left.
Note: If you haven’t finished Chapter 8 in the main story, you’ll need to sneak into the manor through the back window because guards are hostile. Inside, you’ll find a strongbox in the back left corner of the office. You’ll need to solve a simple puzzle by rearranging tiles to form a whale picture to open it. Once open, equip your mask, steal the small box, and claim the Mark of Darkness ring.
Refined, this ring gives +4 Attack Speed, which is higher than most other rings in the game. It’s especially helpful for dual-wielding weapons, where attack speed is crucial.
Witch’s Ring
The Witch’s Ring is also +4 Attack Speed when fully refined, but it can only be obtained by completing a quest during Chapter 9 called the Thinning Blade. You need to complete a puzzle by moving mirrors around the Spire of Sun to unlock a tower, which leads to an Abyss Gate transporting you to the Nest of Valor island. There, you’ll face a tough boss named Goyen. Defeating Goyen completes the quest and earns you the Witch’s Ring.
For detailed steps, there’s a full walkthrough available. The main challenge is solving a mirror puzzle to access the Abyss Gate.
Ring of Lightning
To find the Ring of Lightning, head north of Hernand into Pailune, west of the Silver Wolf Mountains. Go to Whisperleaf Fortress, using Nature’s Grasp to open the large gate. In the southwest corner of the fortress, locate a tent and a large stone grave. Use Force Palm to lift the grave and reveal a hidden trapdoor leading to a small crypt. Climb down and open the strongbox inside.
Puzzle: Press the runes in this order — third column middle button, first column top button, then second column bottom button. Doing this will light up all the runes, unlock the strongbox, and give you the Ring of Lightning.
This ring boosts your Attack by +4 and grants the Charge Lightning ability, activating when you’re in the rain for two minutes. It allows calling down a lightning strike on enemies, dealing significant electric damage. It’s especially effective against enemies vulnerable to lightning or in rainy combat situations.
Tigerfang Ring
The Tigerfang Ring requires hunting down and skinning the legendary White Tiger. First, you must clear the Serpenthead Valley of Wolf Tracker enemies. The valley is located far east of Demeniss, in the jungle east of Drywind Valley.
Once all enemy forces are defeated, the remaining foes flee, and the valley becomes liberated. The White Tiger will then appear nearby, along with several regular tigers. Be cautious— the White Tiger is fast and aggressive, with quick claw attacks that can drain your health quickly. Its attacks are best countered with well-timed dodges and counterattacks, especially if you have Abyss Gear like Crow’s Pursuit, Fullmoon Slash, or Wound of Darkness. Turning Slash and Volcanic Eruption can also inflict heavy damage.
Defeating the White Tiger allows you to skin it, giving you crafting materials and the Tigerfang Ring. When fully refined, it grants +7 Attack, making it a great boost to your overall damage, worth using well into the endgame.
