Guide to Planting Devices in Fortnite Ballistic Mode

For the attackers, the main objective is to plant the Rift Point Device, but accomplishing this task is quite challenging. Are you ready to make the crucial move? How to Plant the Device

First, you need to pick up the bomb, also known as the Rift Point Device. This item only appears at the Attackers’ starting point. Since only one device is available each round, it’s crucial to communicate with your team about who will grab it.

Once you have the device, your next step is to choose where to plant it. There are two designated sites: A and B. You can easily find these on your mini-map. Look for the cracked ground adorned with distinct purple lines. Your decision on which site to approach should depend on your team’s position and the tactics of the defending team.

When you arrive at your chosen site, get close to the cracked ground. Then, press the interact button to begin planting—’E’ for PC and ‘X’ for consoles.

After you plant the device, a countdown begins, shifting your focus to defending the site and stopping the other team from defusing the bomb.
