When you begin playing Tainted Grail: The Fall Of Avalon, you find yourself locked in a prison cell with no memory of who you are or how you got there. Shortly after, you’re rescued by a stranger, who helps you flee.
This stranger is named Caradoc, but he’s merely a messenger for the real leader, Orrin. You continue playing the game without giving much thought to this until you reach Act 2. That’s when Caradoc mentions Orrin, the person behind your escape plan. This revelation prompts you to seek out Orrin and uncover the truth.
This part of the guide contains significant plot spoilers, so be cautious if you want to avoid them.
How to Find Orrin
Your only lead on Orrin is his old tower, specifically the Wyrd Tower west of Cuanacht’s main city. Head there to continue your search.
Once you arrive, look for a panel to the left of the door. You’ll need to interact with that first to unlock the door.
You can only interact with this panel if you’ve finished Act 2 and received the Shield of Arthur, as indicated by the shield symbol on the panel.
Once inside, you’ll encounter the ghost of Orrin, who shares an important message with you. Listen carefully until he’s done.
This wraps up the main part of the quest, but there are additional secrets and lore to uncover.
WARNING: MAJOR SPOILERS AHEAD!
If you immediately head to the left, you’ll find a broken door. Peeking through, you’ll spot a figure sitting in a chair, smoking a pipe — this is the Human King Arthur. However, this discovery isn’t meant to be revealed until the game’s conclusion.
Next, proceed to the upper floor, where you’ll encounter Orrin’s ghost again, who will relay another message.
Finally, head down to the basement via the stairs, where Orrin’s ghost awaits for one last message.
From Orrin’s messages and some journals found in the area — which we’ll avoid detailing here to keep the excitement alive — you’ll gain deeper insight into the truth behind Arthur.
It seems Caradoc intentionally wanted you to witness all of this before obtaining the final piece related to King Arthur, which could influence your decisions affecting the ending.
