The Fifth Trial of Aql can be found in the Hagga Rift area, located to the east of the map in Dune: Awakening. To access it, you’ll need to venture into a prominent cave system that’s hard to miss. The entrance to the trial is at the very bottom of this cave. Getting in and out can be tricky, so it’s a good idea to equip a Suspensor Belt to help you descend quickly without taking damage. Also, bring along a Shigawire Claw to assist you in climbing back out after completing the trial.
This trial involves puzzle-platforming elements where your main objective is to dodge a sandworm.
Location of the Fifth Trial of Aql
The location of the Fifth Trial of Aql is designated on the map as The Hidden Test. It lies to the east of the Eastern Vermillius Gap, right at the edge of the map. You won’t see the name of the cave until you actually enter and explore the depths of the underground area.
When you explore a new area, it’s advisable to use a Survey Launcher and a Survey Probe to reveal the full map.
You’ll encounter a few enemy NPCs guarding the entrance to the cave, so be prepared to handle them before you enter. Once inside, navigate through the passages to find the spice altar, where you may also come across some chest rooms.
Walkthrough for the Fifth Trial
During this trial, you’ll need to avoid the sandworm by climbing various structures and using a Thumper to divert it. Set the Thumper beneath the spice harvester and then ascend the platform to your right. The trial is relatively simple and straightforward.
