Ahead of the Pokémon GO Wild Area event this weekend, players can participate in another exciting event called "Into The Wild." This event will take place from November 18, 2024, at 12:00 AM Local Time to November 22, 2024, at 11:59 PM Local Time. It will highlight Poison and Electric-type Pokémon and offer various bonuses and rewards throughout different aspects of Pokémon GO. While all players can enjoy a wealth of content, some exclusive activities will be available through the purchase of event tickets.
During this event, players will experience the introduction of Toxel, which can be found in 10KM eggs, along with its evolution, Toxtricity. There will be increased spawns of both Poison and Electric-type Pokémon throughout the week, and many of them can also be found in their shiny forms. Additionally, trainers can take on a range of research tasks and collection challenges that offer fantastic rewards. Even as discussions arise about the continued appeal of Pokémon GO, the Into The Wild event is sure to draw players back in.
All Into The Wild Field Research Tasks & Rewards
7 Field Research Tasks Available
The Into The Wild event offers more extensive opportunities than the recent Simply Groundbreaking event in Pokémon GO. As is typical for all events, players can complete a variety of field research tasks. You can access these tasks by spinning PokéStops or Gyms when nearby. Each spin generates a new task as long as you have room in your research task list. There are seven distinct field research tasks available, each offering different rewards.
Here’s a breakdown of the field research tasks and possible rewards:
Field Research Task | Possible Rewards |
---|---|
Catch 5 Electric-type Pokémon | – Toxel Candy x3 – Poke Ball x5 – Great Ball x3 – Mareep Encounter |
Catch 5 Poison-type Pokémon | – Toxel Candy x3 – Poke Ball x5 – Great Ball x3 – Gastly Encounter |
Hatch an Egg | – Flaaffy Encounter – Toxel Candy XL |
Hatch 3 Eggs | – Toxel Candy x3 – Stardust x500 |
Battle in a Raid | – Toxel Candy x3 – Stardust x500 |
Battle in 3 Raids | – Haunter Encounter – Toxel Candy XL |
Power up Pokémon 5 times | – Gulpin Encounter – Emolga Encounter – Stardust x500 |
You can participate in as many Field Research Tasks as you would like during the Into The Wild event.
Summary of Tasks and Rewards
The primary focus of the event is to introduce Toxel and help players earn extra candies. With seven different research tasks available, players will need to catch multiple Electric and Poison-type Pokémon, hatch eggs, battle in raids, or power up Pokémon. Six out of the seven tasks will reward you with either Toxel Candy or XL Candy, so make sure to take advantage of these opportunities.
All Into The Wild: Raids, Timed Research Tasks & Rewards
Additional Paid Timed Research Tasks
The Into The Wild event also includes two paid timed research options. Players can purchase one or both, or even a bundle, to fully benefit from the rewards. Each timed research line consists of daily tasks, with three tasks required for completion. The rewards heavily feature Toxel Candies. Notably, while Lugia is no longer available in 5-star raids, trainers can face off against Nihilego, Tapu Koko, Origin Forme Dialga, and Origin Forme Palkia throughout the event.
Tip: Toxel requires 400 candies for evolution into Toxtricity.
The two paid research lines offer different types of tasks. The first is tailored for players who frequent raids, and it includes tasks like catching 10 Pokémon for 1000 Stardust, spinning 3 PokéStops or Gyms for 20 Poké Balls, and battling in a raid for 1000 XP. Completing all three tasks in one day will grant an additional one Toxel XL candy, three regular candies, and 1000 Stardust.
In addition, participants will enjoy various bonuses during the event, such as 5000 XP for raid completions, an extra candy for Pokémon caught in 5-star raids, and an additional raid pass obtainable from spinning gyms daily.
All Into The Wild: Hatch Timed Research Tasks & Rewards
Timed Research On The Go
If players don’t often join raids, they might prefer the paid Hatch timed research. Similar in structure, this option provides three tasks each day. For instance, on the event’s opening day, players were tasked with catching 10 Pokémon for 1000 Stardust, spinning 3 PokéStops or Gyms for 20 Poké Balls, and covering 1 KM for 1000 XP.
The Hatch Timed Research provides greater rewards and is the better purchase if only considering one of the two options. The advantages emphasize hatching eggs, so continual players can earn more bonuses like 2X Hatch XP, 2X Hatch Candy, 2X Hatch Stardust, half Hatch Distances, a daily single-use Incubator acquired from spinning a PokéStop, and a boost in the chance of hatching Toxel from 10KM eggs.
All Into The Wild: Collection Challenges & Rewards
Two Collection Challenges For All Trainers
Alongside the research tasks, players can tackle two collection challenges available during the event. Each challenge requires capturing six specific Pokémon while participating in Pokémon GO. Fortunately, all required Pokémon will have boosted spawn rates during this period.
For the Poison collection challenge, trainers must catch Bellsprout, Gastly, Gulpin, Roselia, Foongus, and Stunky. Completing this will reward 500 Stardust, 3 Pinap Berries, and a chance to catch Haunter. For the Electric collection challenge, players need to catch Magnemite, Mareep, Emolga, Togedemaru, Dedenne, and Grubbin; rewards will similarly be 500 Stardust, 3 Pinap Berries, along with the chance to encounter Flaaffy.
During the Into The Wild event in Pokémon GO, players can gather numerous bonuses through research tasks and collection challenges, making it an event not to be missed!
