Party Club is a charming co-op venue management game that sends players into a delightful world inhabited by adorable animal clients. Players can dive into the action by mixing drinks, fixing equipment, and interacting (or sometimes competing) with partygoers, whether playing online with friends or enjoying couch co-op, or even going solo.
Starting your new spot can be a bit daunting, especially if you’re an inexperienced pangolin trying to run a bar for the first time. However, with a few key tips, you’ll be raking in coins and acorns in no time.
Set Up Quickly
Each day starts with a setup period for your bar. While you technically have unlimited time for this task, there’s a timer counting down in the background. The time left when you complete your setup will extend the length of your next workday. Longer days mean you have more chances to serve customers, which equals more points and coins. So, aim to set everything up as efficiently as possible!
Tip: Utilize the dash feature often, especially when moving heavy furniture. While your animal character might be slow while carrying items, they can dash quickly.
Prepare Drinks Before Shifts End
Managing the rush of serving drinks to a cheerful crowd can be hectic. Fortunately, any drinks leftover at the end of your shift carry over to the next day, including those in mixers and fountain machines.
As your workday comes to a close—perhaps right after last call—take a moment to refill as many glasses and mixers as you can. This strategy will ensure you have supplies ready for the next day, and they’ll taste just as fresh as when they were first made.
Tip: Consider purchasing some counters to hold full drink glasses, making it easy to serve your first customers the next day.
Watch for Deals in the Shop
During your setup time, you can spend coins on new furniture, equipment, and power-ups. Many items can be pricey, so it’s wise to browse for deals. Each day, certain items will be on sale, allowing you to stretch your coins further.
Make it a habit to check the shop regularly to take advantage of discounts. This is particularly important when you have quests that require specific items, as you might save money by waiting for sales.
Tip: Some quests may call for you to purchase specific items. Check the shop multiple times to spot any sales before making your purchase.
Choose Drink Machines Wisely
It’s tempting to offer a wide variety of drinks, but unless a quest specifically asks for it, it’s better to keep your menu simple. Customers will only order what you have available, allowing you to focus on serving one drink type instead of trying to juggle multiple.
However, do keep quests in mind. For instance, if a quest requires you to serve a certain number of a specific drink, make sure to invest in the relevant machine promptly.
Tip: Keep in mind that certain machines require others to function—like the juice mixer needing both bubble and whisper juice. Only acquire them if you’re set to buy both.
Embrace Team Play
Party Club is designed for cooperative play, and you’ll quickly feel the pressure of managing your bar alone. While it’s possible, it’s certainly easier with a team of friends. You can have up to four players, with each person taking on different roles, such as:
- Waiter
- Mixologist
- Cleaner
- Host
Tip: Since you have four animals unlocked at the beginning, it’ll help if everyone selects their character to keep things organized.
Empty the Chest at Day’s Start
At the beginning of each day, all your supplies will be stashed in a chest, including essential tools and power-ups. Make sure to take out your hammer and mop at the start of each shift to have them on hand. This will enable you to respond faster to any issues that arise throughout the day.
Tip: Avoid wasting time putting tools away. It’s often quicker to leave them out, as you may need them again shortly.
Strategically Place Tables
When setting up your venue, take a moment to think about where you’ll place your tables. Although aesthetics matter, it’s essential to consider the seating arrangement for your guests. Position tables around the outside of the bar, making it easier for guests to settle in comfortably.
Tip: Smaller tables are not only more economical but are also better suited for accommodating more difficult clients, like rowdy wolves, as they allow you to manage their proximity to other animals better.
Use a Controller for Accuracy
You can play Party Club with either a keyboard or a controller, but a controller typically allows for a more fluid and accurate gaming experience, especially when it comes to quick actions like serving drinks. Using a joystick helps reduce errors, which can be crucial since breaking glasses affects your score.
Tip: If you prefer a keyboard, you can switch between WASD and the arrow keys to maintain control and precision in movements.
Exercise Patience with Tasks
When working on tasks such as building furniture or fixing machines, pay attention to the circle that fills up above your character. This circle indicates your progress. It’s vital to stick with the task until it’s completed; otherwise, you risk losing all your progress. In a game with timed days, every second counts.
Tip: Consider using power-ups to speed up your tasks and ensure that you’re making the most out of your time management.
By keeping these strategies in mind, you’ll be well on your way to running a successful venue in Party Club!
