Upon meeting Flynn Rider, you’ll find him dealing with the aftermath of Maleficent’s spell. You’ve done well to help him regain some aspects of his identity, but overcoming old habits is tougher. Here’s how you can assist Flynn in moving forward and becoming the man that Rapunzel deserves in Storybook Vale!
How to Repel Snippets
Once you achieve level two friendship with Flynn Rider, you can initiate his first friendship quest. He’s struggling to shake some of the habits he picked up as the Wolf of the Wilds.
Specifically, he can’t help but chase the frog Snippets every time he sees them. Since his home is near the whimsical biome, it complicates his daily life immensely. You’ll need to travel to that area and catch five of those hopping frogs.
It doesn’t matter which part of the Everafter you go to, just make sure to use your net to capture five Frog Snippets.
After catching the frogs, consult with the Lorekeeper about a solution for Flynn’s issue. She will mention a Snippet Repellent that can keep these pesky frogs away from him for a time.
The materials needed to craft it include:
- Star Sapphire
- Lamprey
- Petrified Wood (x5)
- Volcanic Rock (x10)
- Story Magic (500)
Bring these items to the nearest Crafting Station and create the Basic Faerie Snippet Repellent. Place it outside Flynn’s cottage, and then share the good news with him!
Where to Find Flynn’s Buried Treasures
Next, Flynn needs your help to locate several items he buried. The catch is, none of these belong to him, and he can’t remember their original owners. Thankfully, all the items are hidden around his house for you to discover.
Utilize your shovel to dig up the sparkling spots located around Flynn’s house!
Once you’ve retrieved the items, you’ll need to return them to their rightful owners. Here are the individuals to seek:

How to Clean Flynn’s Cottage
The cottage is quite messy, but beyond that, Flynn is struggling to adapt to life without Rapunzel as he continues his recovery from Maleficent’s spell. He might appreciate someone to confide in about his feelings.
Kristoff has faced similar issues since arriving in the Valley, so ask him to spend time with Flynn. Meet Kristoff at Flynn’s cottage, then discuss your plan together.
While Kristoff helps Flynn open up, your task is to tidy up his house. There are nine piles of trash scattered around, so keep your eyes peeled.
Fortunately, you can adjust the camera angle to follow the conversation while you clean.
When the conversation wraps up, talk to both Flynn and Kristoff to assure Flynn that things will improve, and then complete the quest. Flynn has a lot to tackle, and he won’t reunite with Rapunzel until he resolves his unfinished matters with the Mistress of Evil.
