As you start your journey in Fantasian Neo Dimension, you meet Leo, who unfortunately can’t remember anything about his past. This mystery remains until almost the end of Act 1. However, one thing stands out in his foggy memory: his passion for rice omelets.
In Act 2, a plethora of new quests present themselves to Leo, and naturally, his favorite barista has a pair of challenges for him. A little sibling rivalry only makes the competition for the best dish even more thrilling.
Where to Find the Omelet Quests
Even as it rains in Mechteria, and Leo’s pals are scattered across the multiverse, there’s always time for a meal—or a rather complex one in this case. After getting advice from Sid, Leo receives a request: could you please fetch him the Ultimate Egg to create the best rice omelet ever?
This request leads to the Ultimate Rice Omelet quest. Sid’s brother, not wanting to be outdone, has his own challenge for you: the Supreme Rice Omelet. Just remember to complete the first quest before tackling the second, as Sid’s brother needs a benchmark to judge his dish against.
The Ultimate Egg
Reaching the Egg
Act 2 brings many changes to the world of Fantasian, especially at Ancient Hill. Previously, finding the Ultimate Egg was a straightforward task, but now you’ll encounter crates obstructing your path to the upper bridges.
Once you enter Ancient Hill, follow the usual path until you reach the crates. Here, you’ll find a rope that you can climb down. You’ll notice some sparkles to the east on the hill—this is where we need to go to collect the egg.
Don’t forget to grab the Iris Quartz next to the crates before continuing on.
Proceed south and navigate through the areas until you find the golem you battled earlier. Ascend the bridge and be sure to save at the Save Point. In the next area, you’ll find your egg, along with a boss that has some tricky mechanics.
Defeating the Giant Slime
This isn’t just any slime; the Giant Slime has the same physical resistance as your previous slime foes. Focus on using elemental attacks exclusively. Here’s the twist: the Giant Slime won’t resist any element until it’s attacked. Each following strike from the same element will deal less and less damage.
Since regular attacks won’t make much of an impact, you should use elemental ones, switching between different types as much as possible. After enough elemental hits, the Giant Slime will counterattack with the same elements you’ve used, targeting your party randomly for substantial damage.
The key to winning this battle is to keep the boss weakened. Using Crush with Valrika or Blade Break with Leo can significantly minimize the damage dealt. Aside from its special attack, the Giant Slime isn’t overly powerful. Keep up the pressure with Leo and Valrika, while Prickle provides support.
Defeating the Giant Slime earns you the Ultimate Egg, which you can then take back to Sid for a delicious rice omelet along with some rewards like a Diamond L, SP Capsule, and a mysterious Ancient Relic that ties into another quest with Ez later on.
The Lyranodon Egg
Defeating the Lyranodon
Remember after you freed yourself from prison with Leo, Zinikr, and Ez, there was a showdown with a Lyranodon on the Ancient Mountain Path? Now, you’re on a mission for a Lyranodon egg, which is sure to be well-guarded.
This battle is set up for Leo, Ez, and Zinikr, just like before. Be prepared since the difficulty level is a considerable jump from the Giant Slime; make sure to save your game and heal before proceeding.
Make sure Zinikr has The Safe Taunt skill unlocked before starting this fight; it’s essential. Also, Quick All for Ez will be a huge asset.
This encounter is similar to the initial one, yet it adds some new challenges that make it tougher. You’ll start the battle on edge, ensuring the boss doesn’t gain a full charge. Plus, there will be multiple Lightning Orblings—around eight—that you must prioritize since the boss only needs three charges to unleash its ultimate move.
Your strategy should focus on speed and attack power to swiftly eliminate the Lightning Orblings before they can empower the boss. Equip Zinikr with an Amethyst to mitigate Lightning damage he might take.
Activating Support Charge with Safe Taunt is crucial, so try to learn this ability so Zinikr can deal additional damage when necessary.
The flow of the battle will generally consist of Ez casting Quick All to grant extra turns, Zinikr using Safe Taunt to draw attacks away from the boss, while Leo uses Fire Slash to take down multiple enemies. Whenever possible, Ez should cast Terra Grenades against the Lightning Orblings.
The boss will spawn additional Lightning Orblings every few turns, giving you the time to strike back effectively. Zinikr’s Earth Strike will be beneficial, alongside his Tension Skill when needed. If you find that Leo’s Fire Slash isn’t enough to reach enough targets, consider swapping him for Valrika so she can utilize Arrow Rain.
Finding a Replacement
Upon defeating the Lyranodon, you receive the Supreme Egg, but it doesn’t last long—it hatches immediately, with no family to return to. Rather than face the guilt, Leo leaves the newly hatched chick behind, as a chick certainly can’t be made into a rice omelet.
In Vence, Leo decides to simply purchase an egg from the market. It’s not as if Sid’s brother would recognize a Lyranodon egg anyway. Go to the market to buy a standard egg from one of the various vendors and head back to the bar.
If you attempt to return to the bar without the egg, Leo will promptly remind you to visit the market.
Fortunately, Sid’s brother can’t differentiate between the egg types and happily cooks what he thinks is the Supreme Rice Omelet. Leo insists it tastes great regardless, and you’re rewarded with an Amethyst L and SP Capsule for your clever deceit.
