After successfully recruiting Tan in Fantasian Neo Dimension, one chapter of his history has finally been closed. Nonetheless, his adventure is far from finished. Upon reaching Valrika’s Laboratory, he asks for your help in visiting the Nameless Island.
This is the place where Tan found himself after leaving his old life behind and where he and Blue became fierce rivals. Join him as he confronts those memories, and await a familiar face from his past who will greet and challenge him upon arrival.
How to Locate the Nameless Island
The Nameless Island is an intriguing location that one might assume isn’t marked on any maps. Places often lose their nameless status once discovered, but fortunately, there are no other islands to find in Fantasian except for this one.
To reach it, simply board the Uzra and head as far south as possible until you come across the island. You will spot a save point close to the entrance, so take a moment to prepare for the adventure that lies ahead.
You can visit the Nameless Island at any time, but keep in mind that you won’t be able to progress past the save point until you have recruited Tan.
Exploring the Nameless Island
With Tan as part of your team, he will explain how the Nameless Island operates. The area is shrouded in mist, but by interacting with the large orbs scattered throughout, you’ll be able to manipulate the mist to open up new paths.
After tapping the first orb that Tan introduces you to, the mist in front of you clears. Head towards the next orb, which will change the mist’s layout again. This time, go to the left. If you venture south, you will find a small hill overlooking the beach, where a Whetstone is hidden in a chest.
At the entrance to the next area, you’ll come across two green orbs. Interact with the closer one to clear the fog that’s concealing a chest nearby, which contains the Crush Edge weapon for Ez. You can then move on to the next area.
To open the chest at the entrance to the next area, you need to move forward first, then return to reset the fog. Afterward, touching the lower orb will clear the mist covering it, which holds an SP Capsule.
Upon entering this area, another scene featuring Tan will play out. Once it’s completed, look for a chest nearby containing some Order Motes. Now proceed down to the main area where two orbs await your interaction.
Start by using the center orb to lift the fog that shields the chest near the upper orb on the left side. Inside this chest, you’ll find the Evil Negotiations 101 book, which will unlock nodes in the Growth Map. Avoid using the upper orb just yet; instead, head back to the center orb to reset the mist.
Once that is done, you can utilize the upper orb, then return to the cleared area to find another chest containing an Amber L. With all the items gathered, you’re set to move to the next area.
This new segment is quite expansive and doesn’t have any more mist puzzles. Make your way to the Save Point up ahead, heal up, and then return to the hill where a few chests are waiting. Here, you can collect two Whetstones and a Smoky Quartz. Be sure to prepare yourself for the upcoming boss battle.
How to Defeat Rudy
If you’ve followed Tan’s backstory closely, you might recall that there were three Spirit Beasts in total. Galf and Adolfo are accounted for, but Rudy is missing. She perished on the Nameless Island, choosing to stay behind to defend it. The arrival of Leo’s party triggers her rage.
With no other option but to confront her, get your team ready. Tan must be included in this battle, leaving two spots open. Leo is always a reliable choice, and you should also bring Ez to enhance party buffs. With Rudy, maintaining a strong offense is essential, so characters like Zinikr, Prickle, and Kina won’t be very helpful. Save them for strategic moments.
Most of the time, Rudy will not attack you directly in this encounter. Instead, she will summon a pack of wolves and prepare a move called All-Out Assault. This attack launches every wolf at your party, culminating in a powerful final strike from Rudy. Make it a priority to defeat the wolves first.
If the wolves are absent, Rudy will still execute the attack, but it will result in around 2,000 damage from her alone.
Valrika, Cheryl, and Ez will be tremendously effective here with their area-of-effect abilities. By using Quick All and Attack Power Up, they can quickly eliminate the wolves before the main assault strikes. With Tan, prioritize using Galf Slash and Adolfo Impact to tackle the threats.
Consider equipping a Morganite jewel to Tan, which will allow him to recover some HP with each enemy defeated.
As the battle progresses, Rudy’s strategies will evolve. She will counterattack any move directed at her, reducing the attack and defense of the character who attacked. There isn’t a definitive way to defend against this, so make sure to use Energize with Tan, Iron Wall with Zinikr, or Defence and Attack Power Up with Ez to mitigate the damage.
One of the most dangerous moves in Rudy’s arsenal is Rudy Strike. Once her health drops to about half, she will begin buffing herself in preparation for this attack, using Charge to enhance Rudy Strike. There’s no way to remove this Charge, so it’s crucial to lower her attack power before it launches.
Rudy Strike has the potential to deal over 10,000 damage, even in a weakened state. Ensure your defenses are boosted and have a barrier ready just in case. The attack can potentially take you out in a single blow, so make sure your team is fully healed before it hits.
Rudy’s most terrifying technique is called Barrier. Similar to the Barrier you might cast, this grants Rudy and every wolf she has summoned a shield for 20 hits. At this point, you’ll need to rely on attacks like Arrow Rain and Frenzy to systematically wear down her defenses. However, there’s a clever way to avoid this entirely.
Curse. Rudy is vulnerable to Curse, preventing her from using any beneficial status effects, including Charge and other stat improvements. It’s crucial to ensure that you cast Curse on her whenever possible; Valrika has a Curse move at her disposal that can be particularly helpful.
Beyond what’s mentioned, the battle remains largely the same. Surviving Rudy Strike and successfully applying Curse to Rudy are the keys to victory. Once defeated, Tan will gain the full power of his Divine Artefact and can even unlock Rudy Strike for himself.
