Completing the Top Escoffier Teams in Genshin Impact

Genshin Impact is continually adding new characters, featuring seven elements and five weapon types. One of the latest additions is Escoffier, released in the Version 5.6 update. She wields a Polearm and has a Cryo element.

Originating from Fontaine, Escoffier stands out with a passive ability that significantly reduces Hydro and Cryo resistance for her teammates. This makes her a vital component in Freeze team strategies, allowing players to tackle high-level challenges more effectively.

Best Team for Escoffier

Before forming teams around Escoffier, it’s essential to note that she can deal solid off-field damage via her Skill, while her Burst heals all allies initially and then the active character every second for the next nine seconds. The standout feature of her abilities is one of her passive skills.

This passive allows for a reduction of enemy Hydro and Cryo resistance by up to 55% when there are four characters of these elements in your party. This effect decreases to 15% with fewer characters and is less effective with only one or two Hydro and Cryo teammates.

This makes Escoffier particularly effective in full Freeze teams, as you need that 55% resistance reduction to maximize her value.

Her optimal team would include a primary Cryo DPS, along with herself, Shenhe, and Furina, especially if you have her first constellation, which grants all Cryo characters in your party an extra 60% Crit Damage. Kamisato Ayaka is the ideal main DPS for this team, with Wriothesley as a suitable alternative.

Shenhe significantly boosts Cryo main DPS characters, providing extra damage and reducing the enemy’s Cryo and Physical resistance. Furina acts as the primary Hydro applicator in this setup, triggering Freeze reactions, making it simpler for Ayaka to deal damage. Additionally, her Burst can enhance the team’s overall damage as long as allies have HP to spare.

For optimal use of Furina’s Burst, stack as much Attack as possible on Escoffier.

Aim to fully heal your characters every time Escoffier activates her Burst to maximize Furina’s effectiveness.

Here’s how the team rotation should go:

  • Start with Furina’s Skill and Burst since they have the longest duration, then switch to Escoffier, using her Skill and Burst.
  • Quickly follow up with Shenhe’s actions before switching to Ayaka to perform her combo.
  • Use the Hold version of Shenhe’s Skill and execute a few basic attacks with Ayaka to activate Shenhe’s stacks. Then, follow up with her Skill and Burst, attacking for a bit before returning to Furina and repeating.

Hydro Main DPS Team Featuring Escoffier

If you’re using Escoffier without her first constellation, pairing her with a Hydro main DPS like Mualani or Neuvillette is effective. Neuvillette has remained strong since his introduction, while Mualani lost some viability as newer characters emerged.

For teams featuring Neuvillette, it’s best to include Furina and Shenhe or Citlali, as Neuvillette relies on Charged Attacks and may not sync well with Yelan or Xingqiu. Conversely, Mualani benefits more from those two characters.

Citlali brings additional utility to Neuvillette’s team by reducing Hydro resistance of enemies after triggering the Frozen reaction.

However, if you want Escoffier to deal more damage, Shenhe is a good option, though the team’s total damage output will decrease.

Below are the rotations for both teams:

Neuvillette Team

  • Begin with Neuvillette’s Skill to create three spheres and activate cooldown.
  • Switch to Furina to use her Skill and Burst, followed by Citlali who should do the same. Ensure Citlali has sufficient Energy Recharge for good uptime.
  • Then transition to Escoffier, using her Skill and Burst before Neuvillette executes his first Charged Attack with the spheres.
  • Finally, activate Neuvillette’s Skill and Burst again before executing three more Charged Attacks. After this, you can switch back to Furina and repeat the process. Note that after the first repetition, you won’t have the initial three spheres for Neuvillette.

Mualani Team

  • The rotation for this team is tighter, and you’ll need higher Energy Recharge for Escoffier since she’s the only Cryo unit. However, her Burst isn’t always necessary as no characters will lower your HP.
  • Start with Xingqiu’s and Yelan’s Skill and Burst, followed by Escoffier.
  • Next, switch to Mualani and activate her Skill, ensuring to run through enemies three times before performing a buffed Normal Attack, triggering Yelan and Xingqiu’s additional damage instances.
  • Act quickly with Mualani’s attacks, as her Nightsoul depletes fast, but can be slightly restored with the pufferfish that appears after the buffed attack.

Escoffier F2P-Friendly Team

Among gacha games, Genshin Impact is particularly accommodating for free-to-play players, presenting a wide selection of four-star characters that can effectively replace five-star ones. This is especially beneficial for new players eager to use Escoffier without waiting for future updates to assemble her optimal team.

Escoffier’s free-to-play team features Freminet, Xingqiu, and Mika, each fulfilling important roles. Freminet serves as the main DPS, capable of dealing both Physical and Cryo damage depending on his Pers Timer level after using his Skill. Since he can inflict both types of damage, Mika becomes crucial in the lineup by boosting Freminet’s Physical Damage.

Mika provides Freminet with several stacks that enhance his Physical Damage by 10 percent each, and he also boosts Freminet’s attack speed.

This speed increase is vital because Freminet is a Claymore character, which typically has slower attack animations.

Xingqiu functions as the Hydro applicator for the team, enabling Freminet to trigger multiple Shatter instances, significantly increasing his Crit Damage if his final constellation is active. Here’s how the rotation should look for this team:

  • Start with Xingqiu’s Skill and Burst, then Mika’s, followed by Escoffier. This sequence will provide Hydro application, Physical Damage boosts, and Cryo resistance reduction for Freminet. Use the Hold version of Mika’s Skill.
  • After that, switch to Freminet to activate his Skill, perform four Basic Attacks, and then use his Burst, allowing for constant Skill use for the following ten seconds.
  • During this duration, keep repeating the sequence by using Freminet’s Skill followed by four to five Basic Attacks.
