Pokémon Go organizes a Community Day Event each month, spotlighting a specific Pokémon and offering various bonuses and rewards. This month, in May 2025, the spotlight is on the Pawmi Community Day, featuring a Pokémon that was recently introduced to the game.
The Pawmi Community Day is scheduled for Sunday, May 11, 2025, from 2 PM to 5 PM local time, maintaining the standard three-hour format for these events. To maximize your experience during the Community Day, refer to our detailed guide below for event specifics, bonuses, and rewards available.
Featured Pokémon: Pawmi
The featured Pokémon for May’s Community Day is Pawmi, a character from the latest generation in the series. During this event, the spawn rate of Pawmi will be greatly increased, replacing all other wild Pokémon for the duration of the three hours.
One thrilling aspect of this Community Day is that the odds of encountering a Shiny version are significantly boosted, making it much simpler to find a Shiny Pawmi during the event. This will also mark Shiny Pawmi’s debut in Pokémon Go, available for the first time.
With numerous opportunities to catch Pawmi throughout the event, players can accumulate Pawmi Candy, which is essential for evolving and powering up Pawmi. It has two evolutions: Pawmo, requiring 25 Pawmi Candy, followed by Pawmot, needing 100 Pawmi Candy and walking 25 km with Pawmo as your Buddy Pokémon.
You can enhance the Pawmi Candy you collect during this event by using Pokémon Go’s Mega Evolution feature.
Mega Evolve an Electric-type Pokémon during this Community Day to increase the Candy earned with each Pawmi catch.
Featured Attack: Brick Break
During this Community Day, a Featured Attack will be available, allowing you to evolve Pawmo, Pawmi’s evolution, into Pawmot. If you evolve during the event, from the start until Sunday, May 18, 2025, at 10 PM local time, Pawmot will learn the unique Charged Attack Brick Break.
If you miss the opportunity to get this Featured Attack during the Community Day, you can still teach Pawmot Brick Break using an Elite Charged TM.
Here are the in-game stats for Brick Break:
