Crimson Desert is full of tough puzzles to solve as you explore its vast open world. When you get to the Institute of Knowledge in Hernand, you’ll find a special faction quest with a pretty challenging solution.

The Weight of Knowledge is a side quest involving a faction in Crimson Desert that can really give players a hard time. There are multiple questions with somewhat unclear answers, making it tricky to know if you’ve answered correctly. Even if you’re extra careful, the right answers aren’t obvious at first.

Where to Find The Weight of Knowledge Quest in Crimson Desert

The quest is part of the Hernand faction missions and takes place at the Institute of Knowledge in Scholastone. It seems simple at first, but the last step is complex because you need to give the researcher the correct answers.

First, talk to the Institute Steward and Amaris to get the Investigative Log. Then, you’ll visit five different NPCs: Raphael Bartro, Grunil, Anselmo, Tarho, and Javier. Each one shares info about a missing book, and you need to gather this information and report it to the steward.

All Answers and Rewards for The Weight of Knowledge

After gathering info from everyone around Scholastone, return to the steward and answer these questions to finish the quest:

“Heard there was a meeting with a noble from out of town that day.”
“They were with Tarho in the lab all day, and suspect the guard is acting suspicious.”
“While working with Grunil, they stopped at the library and got scolded by the librarian.”
“The library keeps records of visits, but Raphael’s record is missing.”
“They say they couldn’t have stolen the book because they didn’t know about the forbidden books or the ancient language.”

Answering correctly will reveal the culprit. You can then catch them and turn them in to complete the mission. Successful completion rewards you with the Kinetic Dolphin Family trophy, which you can display at your home or sell for a good amount of silver.

Although the questions seem straightforward, the answers aren’t always obvious, especially because the steward gives the same response regardless of what you say. This makes it difficult to know if you’ve chosen the right answers.
