PS5 gamers can now try out a new game for free two weeks before its official release, and early feedback indicates it’s already quite popular. Developed by Ant Workshop and published by Wales Interactive, Into the Slimy Mines is a distinctive roguelike tower defense game with card game elements.
The demo for Into the Slimy Mines is now accessible across all regions. Just visit your local PlayStation Store page and download it—no PlayStation Plus subscription needed. Note that the demo cannot be streamed via the cloud.
An official description states, “Protect your mine and rescue your crew after crash-landing on a slime-filled moon. Purchase cards and booster packs, expand your tunnels, discover wild combos, and squish those pesky slimes. Dig, build, defend—and get off this cursed moon!”
Players can select from three different factions, each offering a unique gameplay style.
Into the Slimy Mines is set to launch on May 29, 2026. The PS Store listing does not specify the contents of the demo or if progress will transfer to the full game. So far, the game’s demo has a favorable rating of 4.33 out of 5 stars on the PlayStation Store.
