A Japanese man was recently detained for issuing threats to detonate bombs at Nintendo’s headquarters in Japan, asserting that he had actually planted explosive devices on the premises.
According to KTV, the 27-year-old individual from Hekinan City in Aichi Prefecture was taken into custody on May 12 after being accused of threatening the Nintendo headquarters, which is based in Kyoto.

A tweet from Dexerto reported: “A 27-year-old man has been arrested for threatening to blow up Nintendo headquarters in Japan. He allegedly sent letters claiming, ‘I’m going to blow you all up,’ and that ‘multiple bombs’ had been planted.” See the tweet here
Authorities revealed that the suspect delivered an envelope to the building with messages stating, “I’m going to blow you all up,” and “My plans cannot be thwarted.” Although the man claimed to have planted several bombs at Nintendo’s site, police reports indicated they searched both inside and outside the building but found no explosives. The suspect confessed to threatening the Japanese gaming corporation, but investigators are continuing to look into his motives.
