Some advertisers receiving notifications from Digital Phablet have been informed that after June 10, 2026, their Google Ads accounts will automatically be linked to their YouTube channels. This connection is intended to provide Google Ads with access to data from the linked YouTube channels.
According to the email, linking these accounts will allow Google Ads to access organic view counts, target ads to viewers who visit and interact with your channel, and gather insights on how viewers engage with your content after seeing ads.
The message explains that once a YouTube channel is linked to a Google Ads account, several features become available. These include viewing non-paid view metrics, creating audience segments based on past interactions—commonly known as remarketing lists—and measuring engagement actions such as subscriptions, which can be used as conversion goals within Google Ads.
A copy of the email has been shared by industry sources, along with discussions on social platforms. The email also states that there is an option to opt out of automatic linking before the deadline through a provided opt-out link.
