WhatsApp is rolling out a new feature that lets users easily forward messages and media straight to Meta AI.
This update is currently available to a select group of beta testers, aiming to improve interactions with Meta’s AI through a more efficient process.
As part of the latest beta version of WhatsApp (version 2.25.18.8) for Android, this feature allows users to send text, images, or videos directly to Meta AI.
Beta testers can verify if they have access by trying to forward a message; Meta AI will show up as an option in the forwarding menu.

Previously, users had to copy and paste content into the Meta AI chat, but this new feature streamlines that process. Now, users can instantly share content with the AI for assistance, clarification, or analysis.
Moreover, users can include a note with the forwarded content, helping Meta AI grasp the user’s intent more effectively.
For instance, a user could forward a picture and ask, “Is this image genuine?” or “Can you provide a description of this?”
This added context enables Meta AI to deliver more relevant answers, making the feature especially useful for those seeking information or quick summaries.
Importantly, users maintain control over the content they choose to share. Forwarding messages is completely optional, and any shared content may contribute to improving Meta’s AI systems.
The feature is currently being tested with a small group but may soon be available to all users, including those on the stable version of WhatsApp.
WhatsApp plans to expand this feature in the weeks ahead.
