OnePlus 9 Pro Will Come With a 50 Megapixel Wide-Angel Camera

The OnePlus 9 Pro is well equipped with a 50-megapixel ultra-wide-angle photosensor. Several days before the official announcement, Pete Lau, CEO of the Chinese brand, confirmed part of the smartphone’s camera’s technical sheet. As expected, the manufacturer is betting on the IMX766, a lens developed by Sony.

OnePlus continues the communication campaign around the future OnePlus 9. After unveiling the OnePlus 9 Pro design in an official video, the Chinese group has confirmed a mains charger included in the box. Unlike Apple and Samsung, OnePlus does not ignore this accessory.

Finally, OnePlus also revealed some of the camera hardware. The OnePlus 9 Pro has a Sony IMX789 main sensor that will shoot in 4K / 120FPS or 8K / 30FPS. For now, it is not known if this customized lens will also be present on the standard OnePlus 9.

OnePlus 9 Pro Relies On Two Photo Sensors Designed By Sony

More recently, Pete Lau, co-founder, and CEO of OnePlus, revealed an additional 50-megapixel photo sensor on the OnePlus 9 Pro, the Sony IMX766. This is a 1 / 1.56-inch ultra wide-angle sensor with an f / 1.8 aperture. This photo module is already at work on the Reno5 Pro + from Oppo, the cousin firm of OnePlus. To do well, the OnePlus 9 range also benefits from Hasselblad’s expertise, the Swedish specialist in photography.

Faithful to his habits, Pete Lau teases other revelations during the week. “Here’s part of the secret to our great ultra-wide camera. You’ll know a lot more on March 23, but if you can’t wait to see more, I might have a surprise for you later this week… ” announces Pete Lau, anxious to turn up the pressure.
