On May 26, 2026, Sheikh Dr. Ali Al Hudaify, the Imam of Al-Masjid an-Nabawi, delivered a Hajj sermon at Namirah Mosque in Mecca. During the event, pilgrims performed combined Zuhr and Asr prayers. The sermon focused on obedience, truthfulness, and maintaining calmness during the Hajj rituals.
Sheikh Al Hudaify urged Muslims to exercise patience through hardships and to deepen their devotion to Allah. He emphasized that true preparation for the afterlife involves monotheism and sincere worship, warning against supplicating to anyone other than Allah. The imam reminded attendees that Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) was Allah’s final messenger, and he encouraged believers to adhere to honesty while avoiding falsehood, gossip, and religious innovations.
He highlighted the spiritual and communal importance of Hajj, illustrating how it fosters unity and solidarity among Muslims worldwide. “Hajj brings to light the mutual understanding, harmony, cooperation, and brotherhood among the followers of Islam,” he stated.
The imam advised pilgrims to keep discipline, refrain from engaging in political disputes, and follow the instructions of the Hajj organizers to prevent chaos and preserve lives. He called for calmness and strict adherence to safety guidelines throughout the pilgrimage.
Prayers were offered for forgiveness, acceptance of worship, and for improving the conditions of Muslims around the globe. Sheikh Al Hudaify specifically prayed, “O Allah, accept the du’a and rituals of the pilgrims, ease their affairs, forgive their sins, and safely return them to their homes blessed and successful.”
After the Arafat rituals, pilgrims are expected to travel to Mina for the next phase of Hajj. Namirah Mosque holds significant historical value in Islam as the location where Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) delivered his Farewell Sermon. Situated approximately 22 kilometers from Masjid al-Haram, it is regarded as the second-largest mosque near the holy sites.
