Beats is set to launch its eagerly awaited next-generation product. Informed sources from Bloomberg report that the Powerbeats Pro 2 will be unveiled on February 11, marking nearly five years since the original model was released.
During September of the previous year, Beats teased the new hook-style wireless earbuds with a quick glimpse featuring MLB superstar Shohei Ohtani. Further showcasing their appeal, golf legends Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy were also seen sporting the earbuds during recent TGL golf league events.
The Powerbeats Pro earbuds have always been popular in the sports community, but they’ve also gained a strong following among fitness buffs due to their deep bass and secure fit. The upcoming second-generation model is expected to retain the original’s core design while introducing several important enhancements.

Notable changes in the Powerbeats Pro 2 include a sleeker stem, a minimalist logo, and the removal of the central button, which has been replaced with touch controls. However, the physical buttons mounted on the sides will remain intact.
The new earbuds will feature an H2 chip, already found in flagship Apple devices like the AirPods Pro 2. Leaked images indicate that the charging case will be more compact, which is a positive development.

Additionally, new color variants are expected, with sightings of black and a shade of beige already reported. According to Mark Gurman from Bloomberg, an eye-catching orange option will also be available, supported by various leaks.
A standout feature of these earbuds is the inclusion of heart rate monitoring, a functionality that is reportedly on track for release in the AirPods line as well. While other earbuds have offered similar health tracking, this addition is certainly noteworthy.
Potential buyers may be surprised by the price tag. As per Bloomberg’s findings, the Powerbeats Pro 2 is set to retail for $250.

This price matches that of the original Powerbeats Pro earbuds. There have also been discussions regarding noise cancellation capabilities, though it remains unclear whether this feature will be active or simply passive.
Based on current leaks, it appears that Active Noise Cancellation may finally be featured in the Powerbeats lineup. The absence of this feature would have been a significant oversight, especially considering its availability in the more affordable Beats Studio Buds.
