If you’re having trouble with the action you want to perform online, like trying to upload or submit something and getting an error message such as “You can’t perform that action at this time,” don’t worry—you can resolve this issue by clearing your browser’s cache and cookies. Here’s a simple way to do that on a typical web browser:

First, open your browser’s settings or options menu. This is usually done by clicking on the three dots, three lines, or a gear icon in the upper corner of your browser window. Once there, look for a section called ‘Privacy,’ ‘History,’ or ‘Security.’

Find the option that says ‘Clear browsing data’ or ‘Clear history.’ Click on it. A menu will appear where you can select what you want to delete. Make sure to check the boxes for ‘Cookies’ and ‘Cached images and files.’ You can also select a time range—choose ‘All time’ if you want to clear everything.

After making your selections, click the ‘Clear data’ button. Your browser will then delete the stored cookies and cache, which often helps fix issues related to permissions or outdated data.

Once you’ve completed these steps, close your browser completely and then reopen it. Try performing the action again. Usually, this clears up the problem and allows you to proceed as usual.

If the problem persists, double-check your internet connection, ensure you’re logged in with the correct account, or try using a different browser. Sometimes, restarting your device can also help resolve temporary glitches.

Remember, clearing cookies and cache is a safe step and can improve your browsing experience, but it will log you out from most websites and reset site preferences. So, make sure you know your passwords before doing it.
