By enabling the clipboard history feature in Windows 11, you can keep track of not only what you’ve recently copied but also previous clipboard items. This functionality allows you to revisit and paste older copied content whenever you need it.
In simple terms, to activate clipboard history, press the Windows key + V. With this command, you can review your clipboard contents at any time by using the same key combo. Essentially, you’ll have access to all items you’ve copied with Ctrl + C or cut using Ctrl + X.
If you decide that you no longer wish to use clipboard history, it’s easy to turn it off. Just navigate to Settings, then go to System, and select Clipboard to disable the feature.
When you view clipboard history by pressing Windows key + V, you have the option to pin important entries to the top of the list using the pin icon. This way, you can ensure that your most frequently used items are always easily accessible.
To clear your clipboard history, go to the System > Clipboard section in Windows settings and select “Delete” under “Delete clipboard data.” You can also remove individual items from the clipboard history by clicking the three-dot menu next to each entry. If you want to clear everything at once, simply choose the “Delete all” option to wipe the entire clipboard history.
