Infinity Nikki offers a lot to players. It has a warm, inviting atmosphere, stunning visuals, and a lighthearted tone that knows when to be silly. Above all, it’s an enjoyable experience. Like many traditional gacha games, it incorporates a Vital Energy system, which plays a crucial role alongside the gacha banners. Understanding how and when to use your Vital Energy will help you engage with the game’s endgame content and enjoy it for the long haul.
You begin the game with a few options to spend Vital Energy, but you will unlock more possibilities over the course of several days.
How To Spend Vital Energy
Realm Challenges are the primary way to use your Vital Energy in Infinity Nikki. You’ll invest it in upgrades, materials for progression, and Eureka gear. If you’re familiar with other gacha games, think of these challenges like the Domains in Genshin Impact or the Trailblaze Energy tasks in Honkai: Star Rail.
If you’re just starting out, the key point is to farm the Realms frequently to collect Blings and other materials for crafting and upgrading your outfits. Each time you enter a Realm, you’ll use some Vital Energy to earn rewards.
You’ll unlock access to five Realm Challenges early in the game through the Warp Spires.

How To Get More Vital Energy
Your Vital Energy is capped at 350. It’s a crucial resource that has limited availability and is often monetized within the game. Here are three primary ways to increase your Vital Energy:
- Wait for it to recharge. You regain one point of Vital Energy every five minutes. It will take slightly more than 29 hours to fully replenish. While you can use your energy before it’s completely refilled, any time spent will delay your recharge.
- Use Energy Crystals. These rare items instantly restore 80 Vital Energy upon use. You can acquire them through the season pass, one-time rewards, or special events. There’s no limit to how many you can use, and utilizing them can temporarily exceed your energy cap.
- Spend Diamonds. If you lack Energy Crystals and don’t want to wait for your Vital Energy to recharge, you can spend 50 Diamonds, the in-game premium currency, to immediately regain 80 Vital Energy. You can only spend up to 800 Diamonds in a day, but like Energy Crystals, using this option can overflow your energy reserves.
Best Ways To Spend Vital Energy
Knowing how to utilize Vital Energy is just part of the equation; timing is key too. There aren’t strict rules about when to spend your Vital Energy, but the general guideline is: “Use it when it’s full.” Any excess energy over your max capacity will be wasted if you don’t spend it in time.
There are strategies worth considering as you advance in the game regarding where to prioritize your spending.
- Realm of Escalation: Focus on this Realm for much of the early game, especially until Chapter 5 or 6. This lets you accumulate a good supply of Blings, Threads of Purity, and Shiny Bubbles. As you upgrade outfits and unlock new ones, you’ll find you need plenty of these resources, making your progression smoother.
- Realm of Nourishment: Drop by this Realm occasionally while completing story missions to trade surplus materials for Insight, minimizing the need for intense grinding later. Just don’t deplete all your materials, as you might need them for future upgrades.
- Realm of Eureka: You will eventually need to dedicate more time and Vital Energy here to hunt for lower-rarity items to enhance your existing ones. However, this becomes an endgame concern, so don’t stress about it too much in your early hours playing the game.
- Realm of the Dark: Get comfortable taking down all forms of Bouldy, as many outfits require his materials for upgrades, including Miracle Outfits that you’ll unlock towards the end of the story. While you shouldn’t focus solely on him early on, you will need to invest Vital Energy in this area later.
- Realm of Breakthrough: Make it a habit to engage with this Realm whenever it resets weekly. Missing just one reward claim represents a full week’s worth of grinding lost for Evolution materials. Though you can only claim one reward per week, it’s a crucial resource nonetheless.
In summary, during the early stages of the game, you should prioritize spending most of your Vital Energy in the Realms of Escalation and Nourishment. As you approach the end of the main story, particularly around Chapter 6, start integrating the Dark Realm into your routine, while the other two should be reserved for post-campaign activities.
