When you want a break from bounty hunting in High On Life 2, you can relax and try the fun fishing mini-game instead. Whether you’re looking to make money quickly or just want a change of pace to give your foul-mouthed Gatlians a rest, fishing is a great way to unwind.

We’ll guide you on how to get a new friend who will act as your fishing rod and tell you where to find the best fishing spots in all three locations in High On Life 2.

### How to Find Rod, the Fishing Rod

Before you can start fishing, you need to unlock the fishing rod. Head to Pinkline Harbor by fast traveling to the harbor location. Go to the southern, central part of the map where the river meets the sea, along the coast.

Once there, find a fisherman sitting on a pier. Talk to him and listen to his plea for help. Use Travis to lift the nearby partially sunken boat out of the water, which will earn the fisherman’s gratitude. As a reward, he will give you a new friend — Rod, a fishing rod.

### Where to Find Every Fishing Spot

With Rod in hand, the game opens up with eight different fishing spots across the three main areas.

#### Circuit Arcadia

This area has only two fishing spots—the fewest among the three maps:
– One on the far west side of the map, southwest of the Movie Theatre fast travel point.
– The other on the far east side, northeast of the Circuit Arcadia Mall, right next to the fast travel point.

#### Circuit Arcadia Zoo

The zoo features three fishing spots, two of which are very close:
– One in the upper central part of the map, near a Wanted Poster.
– A second in the southeastern corner, close to a large aquarium.
– The third, also in the southeastern corner, near a skating area.

#### Pinkline Harbor

Pinkline Harbor has three fishing spots mainly along the northern coast:
– One on the eastern island within the cluster at the top of the map.
– A second along the western side of the pier—head toward the buildings jutting out to find it.
– The third near the fisherman’s boat on the beach.

Make sure to catch each unique fish at every location before moving on to unlock achievements with less effort. This way, you can earn the “Tanks For The Memories” trophy by catching all the different fish from each spot.
