From the start of Arc Raiders, quests have been a key way to progress in the game. These tasks come from different NPCs and often offer rewards that are hard to obtain through regular raids. It’s always helpful to complete these quests whenever a new update drops.
Shoring Up Defenses is one of the first quests in the Riven Tides update. It requires you to visit specific locations on the map. While one part of this quest is straightforward, the other part can be tricky because the places you need to find aren’t easy to spot.
Where to Find the Raider Structure on Crane
In this quest, you need to locate a Raider structure on top of a crane and reinforce it. Head to the Stacking Yard area of the map, which is marked as a yellow zone at the top middle section. Once there, you’ll see several large red cranes reaching upward. Climb any of these cranes using the stairs until you reach the top. From there, look for a path between the cranes made of tin boards and ziplines to continue.
As you move along the top of the cranes, you’ll notice thin wires with structures standing on them. These are the Raider structures you’re looking for. When you get close to one of these poles, you’ll see an option to use your Arc Alloy to repair it.

Where to Find Shuttered Windows
For the other part of this quest, go to the Hotel Panorama Azzurro on the left side of the map. This part is in a red zone, so expect to encounter other players. When inside, take the zipline or stairs up one floor and run straight to the right along the path. You’ll find room 111 on your right. Enter this room to find one open and one shuttered window. Approaching the shuttered window will trigger the quest prompt. While there are other shuttered windows in different rooms, this is the easiest one to reach.

How to Destroy Wasps and Fireflies
Besides visiting these locations, you also need to eliminate several wasps and fireflies. These enemies are common and easy to spot flying around in the air. If you’re unsure what enemy you’re looking at, you can ping them to see their name. If there aren’t any wasps nearby, you can spawn some by attacking a Snitch and letting it call for reinforcements. On the other hand, fireflies are rarer, so you might need to explore the map a bit until they appear.
